This Is Charlotte's Top Google Search For 2022

To wrap up the end of 2022, Google released its results of the top trending searches of the past year for major cities across the country, including Charlotte. While some results may not be shocking, others offer an interesting look at what people around the Charlotte area were looking for in 2022.

Charlotte searched for "driving range near me" more than any other city, while the Queen City is one of four places in the country that had "work from home jobs" as a top trending search, joining cities like Detroit, Michigan; Roanoke, Virginia; and Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Additionally, the city's top trending animal was the American robin while the top recipe for the past year was halal white sauce, a flavorful topping to that elevates a dish.

A couple of the region's top searches also involved gas prices, with Charlotteans looking to find the most affordable prices near them. The rest of the top searches cover a variety of subjects, from fashion to fitness. These are the Charlotte area's Top 10 trending "near me" searches for 2022:
