Lisa Marie Presley's death shocked the pop culture world last month and now according to a new report from TMZ, the singer was under a good deal of stress in the weeks leading up to her passing. The report discussed Presley's stress leading up to an appearance at the Golden Globes "because she had become used to feeling anonymous during COVID, and felt fully exposed during the roll up to the Golden Globes."
Family sources with knowledge of Presley's emotional state claim that "Lisa actually felt comfortable during COVID, because she could leave her home masked up and no one knew it was her...including paparazzi." Following the tragic death of her son Benjamin in July 2020, Presley reportedly "did not want to be seen by anyone" and when she did have to go out in public "she felt protected with a mask covering much of her face...she was not spotted by anyone, and it proved comforting."
The report also claims that Presley was obsessed with looking her best for the Globes claiming that "she lost 40 to 50 pounds in the 6 weeks leading up to the Globes." One family source was willing to put it even more directly, stating that "Were it not for the Golden Globes, Lisa might be alive today."
