Lorde Lets Her Fans Know If They Can Expect A New Album This Year

One thing that die-hard Lorde fans know is her reputation for keeping quiet about her creative process but surprisingly she let some details slip about her upcoming new album during an interview with Ensemble Magazine. When asked about her forthcoming project Lorde responded “Anything could happen. Let’s see!”

She also elaborated on the creative process she's using to create the record, saying "It’s my intention to move as quickly as I f*cking can that ends up taking different forms." Lorde famously took quite a long break after her second album Melodrama in 2017 where she left most social media platforms and communicated with fans only through occasional emails. But this time around she seems to be taking a different approach to both her transparency and how long the recording process might take saying "But this one, I really am trying to. I don’t want to wait… so take from that what you will.”

Lorde just got fans' attention once again a few days ago when she dropped a handful of photos to her Instagram story including a number of selfies that gave some hints about what she's been up to. It also gave fans an up close and personal look at Lorde's new blonde hair which she first debuted during a performance at Glastonbury last year.
