T-Pain Announces New Album — But There's A Fun Twist

Ooh, I can't believe it, T-Pain is releasing new music!

Well, kinda...

The "I'm Sprung" rapper announced Wednesday (February 15) he would be releasing a new album that's a long time coming. "You've been asking for it & here ya go bro. A T-Pain cover album to end all cover albums…..from T-Pain," he wrote on social media. The new album, which is titled On Top Of The Covers, is set to drop on March 17. Along with the new album is a new slate of "intimate" shows, but those details will come at a later date, he said alongside a photo of the epic cover work in which T-Pain is seen laying on a bed covered in rose petals next to champagne on ice with a rose in his mouth.

His new album announcement comes a day after hinting at the possibility of new music. Earlier this week, a fan tweeted, "Anything T-Pain covers or remixes is always so hard." The "Buy U A Drank" rapper quote-tweeted it, saying "Buckle up cause I got an announcement coming tomorrow," alongside the ever-teasing double-eye emoji.
