Lil Wayne is letting the world that nobody in Hip-Hop can measure up to his legacy.
On Thursday, February 23, the Young Money founder delivered his latest single "Kant Nobody" featuring DMX and produced by Swizz Beatz. The song samples DMX's intro to his album debut It's Dark And Hell Is Hot. It begins with a quick freestyle from late New York MC himself before Wayne gets into his sick verse. Wayne teased the song earlier this week with a sneak-peak into the upcoming music video for the record, which might appear on his next album.
“Best rapper, ex-trapper, dress dapper/ Swizzy gave me a headbanga, a neck snappa/ X-factor, make a rapper an example/ All I need is a beat with a DMX sample," Wayne raps.
The song arrives after the seasoned rapper announced his plans for Tha Carter VI and his upcoming tour. Back in August, Wayne confirmed the sixth installment of his Tha Carter album series is on the way after he performed at Drake's Young Money reunion in Toronto.
"What up y'all? Tunechi here," Wayne said in his video announcement. "Thank you, I ain't s**t without you. I'm not sure if you heard but, Tha Carter VI is on the way."
Then, at the end of January, the Hollygrove, La. native announced the dates for his Welcome To Tha Carter tour. Presented by Young Money, Rolling Loud and Live Nation, his string of shows will kick off on April 4 at The Fillmore in Minneapolis and will make stops in various major cities including Houston, Detroit, Toronto and plenty more until it concludes in Los Angeles in May.
