Brandi Carlile could hardly contain her excitement when Tanya Tucker was revealed as one of three 2023 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees. Carlile exclaimed that she “CALLED IT!! We’re GOING to the hall of fame.”

Vince Gill took the podium at the renowned Hall of Fame Rotunda on Monday morning (April 3) to announce the next class of legendary artists and songwriters to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee. Tucker will be inducted in the Veteran Era Artist category, alongside Patty Loveless (Modern Era Artist category) and Bob McDill (Songwriter category, awarded every third year in rotation with the Recording and/or Touring Musician and Non-Performer categories).

“I’m so happy for you Tanya Mother Tucker!” Carlile wrote in a celebratory Instagram caption. “I don’t even want to think of my world without you in it. Me and Shooter and the twins just love you so damn much it hurts. I’ll be there on the day they put that Country Music Hall of Fame crown on your pink head! You earned every bit of this and I’m so proud to be your friend CONGRATULATIONS hall of famer!! Your old man is beaming today ❤️”

Tucker shared a recorded message of her own, expressing gratitude for her upcoming Country Music Hall of Fame induction this year. She said in a statement on Monday: “It was wonderful to have all three of my kids beside me when I got the news. The only way it could’ve been any better is if my parents Beau and Juanita Tucker could have been there too. They are the reason and the root of all my success in music. And the fans — they are everything! When I walk in that Hall they will all be with me.”

Tucker, Loveless and McDill will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this fall.
