Rich Homie Quan has apologized to Roddy Ricch after Quan accused the California artist of booting him off DJ Drama's new song.
In an Instagram Story he posted on Tuesday night, April 4, Quan said he reached out to "The Box" rapper personally to resolve their issues after he accused Ricch of making a foul move. The Atlanta rapper previously alleged Roddy Ricch requested for Quan to be removed from DJ Drama's joint effort "FMFU" with Ricch, Gucci Mane and Lil Wayne, which appears on Drama's I'm Really Like That album. After Ricch denied the allegations, both artists were able to clear up the misunderstanding.
“Just got off the phone with @roddyricch everything is smooth,” he wrote. “We settled it like men and I want to apologize for my position at the moment and take this opportunity to show everyone that through conversations we can have solutions.”
In his now-deleted video, Quan said he recorded his verse when no one else was on the track. Later on, he found out that Gucci, Wayne and Roddy were on the song. He was hype about the opportunity because he assumed he would still be on the song. Once he heard the final version, Quan felt some type of way since no one told him he wasn't on the track anymore. That's when he claimed someone told him Roddy wanted him taken off the song.
"You too old for this Internet shit but I ain't even know u was on the phone," Ricch wrote in response to the allegations on his Instagram Story. "I sent Drama the hook and let them do the rest. Ain't never been no n***a to stop nobody from eating especially a n***a ion even know. I'm around tho champ."
During his rant, Rich Homie Quan also challenged Roddy Ricch to a Verzuz-style battle between both of their catalogs. While Quan didn't address the status of their battle, Ricch appeared to be more than willing to step up to the challenge. In case you missed it, check out the video below.
