Jelly Roll’s debut country album delves into a powerful story from start to finish, and the fast-rising superstar hopes that his storytelling “helps someone when they need it the most,” he shared, “that's really why I do this!”

The “Save Me” artist, from the Antioch neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee, titled his 13-track collection after the church he attended while growing up. Whitsitt Chapel is an album “about growth and gratitude happening in my life,” Jelly Roll previously shared of the then-unreleased album. “I wanted to create a project that felt hopeful. I believe the worst feeling a person can have is feeling hopeless or worthless. This is therapeutic music. Real music for real people with real problems.”

Jelly Roll teamed up with a star-studded list of co-writers to pen each of the 13 tracks that appear on Whitsitt Chapel, including Miranda LambertAshley McBrydeHARDY, Jesse Frasure, Hillary LindseyMatt JenkinsJessie Jo DillonAustin Nivarel, Hunter Phelps, Michael Whitworth, producer Zach Crowell, and others. The album also features collaborations with Lainey Wilson, Yelawolf, and Brantley Gilbert and Struggle Jennings. Jelly Roll recently previewed Whitsitt Chapel for a few fans at iHeartRadio in Nashville, ahead of a show at the historic Ryman Auditorium downtown.

Jelly Roll, a former iHeartRadio On The Verge Artist, released his highly-anticipated album a few days after the premiere of his documentary, Jelly Roll: Save Me. The ABC News Studios film, available on Hulu, chronicles the “Son Of A Sinner” megastar’s meteoric rise to fame and how he moved forward from challenges throughout his life. The documentary shows “a journey of redemption in real time of 38-year-old singer-songwriter Jelly Roll, confronting his struggles with mental health and addiction as he stands on the precipice of megastardom,” reads a previously-issued press release. Jelly Roll: Save Me also included exclusive interviews, showed raw and emotional footage of interactions with fans and others, highlighted his performance at Bridgestone Arena in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, and more. Jelly Roll said he hopes he can “help those that feel helpless.”

Jelly Roll is gearing up for his “Backroad Baptism Tour,” kicking off next month. See the dates below. Find the full Whitsitt Chapel album on iHeartRadio here, and listen to a few of of the tracks here:
