Dolly Parton Makes Pinterest Debut With Eye-Popping Looks

Dolly Parton revealed the back cover of her soon-to-release book chronicling some of the most iconic fashion moments throughout her decades-long career. The vibrant new image comes as the beloved country legend made her long-awaited debut on Pinterest, where she teased “more exclusive design process content” from the book.

Parton is set to release Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones in October. The book — which serves as the second installment of a trilogy, following 2020’s Songteller: My Life in Lyrics — will include nods to some of the “Jolene” icon’s most memorable looks beginning from the 1960s to today. That includes her “Coat of Many Colors,” the Playboy bunny suit she wore on the magazine’s cover, famous stage wear and more. Parton shared the back cover of her book with Cosmopolitan on Thursday (August 31). The image features Parton surrounded by the train of her black gown — a 50-foot train, she said — accented with bright pops of yellow, pink, red and blue, in what appears to be a butterfly-inspired design.

Parton announced Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones earlier this year. She said at the time that she’s “happy, proud, and excited to present my book Behind the Seams to the public. It is my hope that you will enjoy a look at my life in costume and hair and get to know some of the great people who have helped shape my life and my look.”
