Danielle Bradbery wrestles with the uncertainty of moving on from heartbreak in her latest song to release, “The Day That I’m Over You.” The country hitmaker kicked off the weekend with the post-breakup ballad on Friday (September 1).

Bradbery acknowledges the “twisted feeling,” to know that “crying over you gives me meaning,” wondering what it will be like on the other side of heartache and unsure whether she’s ready to move on: “'Cause what will I talk about?/ What will I drink about?/ Who will I look for when I walk into a room?/ Who will I fantasize about in bed at night?/ What will my heart beat for? Don't know what I'll do/ The day that I'm over you/ The day that I'm over you.”

“The Day That I’m Over You” follows a few other previously-released singles by Bradbery as she readies her next era of music. Bradbery, who recently appeared on the Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast, debuted “Runaways” earlier this summer after unleashing “Monster” and “A Special Place.”

“This music, I think, is a little bit of a different approach than I’ve done with other songs,” Bradbery previously told iHeartRadio of the music fans can expect to hear in the next chapter of her career. “The honesty, the vulnerability, just all of that is always the same and I try to hit every time.

“I think I finally feel like as an artist, as a woman in country, I feel like I’m finally settling into what Danielle Bradbery’s music sounds like and what I wanna say. So, this next chapter of music I’m very, very proud of,” continued Bradbery, now 26, who launched her career at age 16 after her victory on The Voice. “I try to pick things and write things that are from different perspectives and maybe in ways that people haven’t heard before through music. …I’m really excited about it all.”

Bradbury is also gearing up to kick off the “Damn Good Time Tour,” headlined by her “Midnight Crisis” duet partner Jordan Davis. The tour is set to kick off on September 7 in Columbus, Ohio. See the list of dates here, and listen to “The Day That I’m Over You” below:
