Reba McEntire shared whether she would get married again when she fielded questions during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Host Andy Cohen called on two virtual fans, Jessica and Kristen from Massachusetts, to ask the legendary country music star their question.

The Massachusetts duo wanted to know whether McEntire would ever get married again, now that she’s in a years-long relationship with actor Rex Linn (a.k.a. “Sugar Tot,” she revealed when she shared the story behind the couple’s nicknames for one another in an interview earlier this year).

“That would be up to him,” McEntire responded. “I’ve been married twice. He’s never been married. So, if he wants to [get married], that’s totally up to him.”

McEntire — who also dished about the unexpected way she communicates with fellow country superstar Dolly Parton during her appearance on the show — told Cohen that she and Linn talked about that he’d never been married when they began dating. McEntire and Linn met on the set of Kenny RogersThe Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw in 1991, and have remained in contact through the years. They reconnected working on Young Sheldon in early 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic started, and after going out to dinner, they’ve been “inseparable ever since.”

The Not That Fancy megastar previously said in an interview on the Jennifer Hudson Show that after that dinner, she and Linn “went down the street to a wine bar and they said, ‘well, I understand you’ve already had dinner, but we do have some good appetizers…we have tater tots.’” Her enthusiasm for the appetizer prompted Linn to say, “‘that’s your nickname from here on out,’” McEntire told Jennifer Hudson. She added that she calls Linn, “sugar tot. We’re the tots… Sugar and tater. So, we’ve been together ever since.”
