Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross was arrested on Monday (October 23), according to a Johnson County Sheriff's Office booking report obtained by ESPN.

Ross, 23, of Phenix City, Alabama, was charged with criminal damage of more than $1,000 but less than $25,000 for an incident that took place in the Kansas City suburb of Shawnee. The booking report does not include additional details of the charge against the rookie receiver.

Ross is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday (October 24), according to a listing on the Johnson County Sheriff's Office website. The Chiefs confirmed that they were aware of the reported arrest, however, declined to comment when reached by ESPN.

Kansas City signed Ross as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2022 season, which he missed the entirety of due to injuries. The former Clemson standout has appeared in all of the Chiefs' first seven games of the 2023 season and recorded three receptions for 34 yards in a limited role.

Ross recorded a career-best two catches for 28 yards during Kansas City's 27-20 road win against the Minnesota Vikings on October 8. The Chiefs will face the AFC West Division rival Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday (October 29).
