Shay Mooney's Wife Pens Heartfelt Tribute To Youngest Son On 1st Birthday

Shay Mooney’s youngest son celebrated his first birthday on Wednesday (January 17).

The Dan + Shay star and his wife, Hannah Love Mooney, welcomed Baby No. 3 on January 17, 2023. They shared a sweet announcement when their newborn son made his arrival, introducing Abram Shay Mooney to the world. Mooney said at the time, “grateful doesn't begin to cover it. ❤️”

Hannah shared several photos of Abram Shay on Wednesday evening, including some snapshots from his first birthday celebration and photos from the day he was born. She wrote in a heartfelt tribute to her youngest child:

“Our sweet baby love. They told us you needed to come early. You were measuring too small. I didn’t even get to see your little face or hold you when you were delivered. You were whisked away and put on machines. So we prayed. You were prayed for and prayed over your whole life…even before the day you arrived.

“They told us the 17th would be your birthday (nearly a month early). As we loaded up to check in that morning my precious mother in law sent me a message. She had looked up the number 17 in the Bible. As I read the words I wept knowing all would be well… ‘overcoming the enemy’ and ‘complete victory’ resounded in my spirit. It is what I felt Him say from the moment we were given the news and started to pray.

“He would be small. But he would be strong. An overcomer. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for you, Abram Shay. You’re a gift, a joy, and a true picture of happiness in a family FULL of love. I’m thankful God gave us you - one year ago. We love you, sweet boy. Happy Birthday!”

Abram Shay joined two big brothers: Asher James Mooney, who turns 7 on January 24, and Ames Alexander Mooney, who will be 4 on February 21.
