Kane Brown delivered heartfelt remarks as he was honored with the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award at the 2024 Country Radio Seminar (CRS) on Thursday evening (February 29) in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The trailblazing country star was announced as this year’s recipient last month.

Brown, who spoke about his family and his upbringing, was presented with the award for his philanthropic efforts to support underprivileged youth, including through the Boys & Girls Club National Organization (BGCA). The Country Radio Broadcasters previously noted that Brown “personally funded opportunities for 16 youth and 4 adults from the local BGCA chapter, providing backstage access, sharing his inspiring story, arranging dinner, and gifting tickets to his shows,” and continued his efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brown also worked to help rebuild the BGCA in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and contributed a portion of each concert ticket to help renovate a BGCA gym in Cleveland, Ohio. He previously said in a statement to Cleveland’s News 5: “I grew up without a lot of things as well. When I found the Boys & Girls Club, this is somewhere I would have wanted to have been as a kid. There is no telling where I would have staying out of trouble if I didn’t have sports. I love basketball and we get to give these kids a new gym today and I think it’s amazing and I hope they love it.”

Brown’s recognition this week in Nashville took place during an event which also included a stunning performance by The War And Treaty, the reveal of the Country Radio Hall of Fame Class of 2024 and more. Previous recipients of the award include Toby Keith, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and many others.

Brown — expecting Baby No. 3 this year with wife Katelyn Brown — recently announced additional shows and special guests on his headlining “In The Air Tour,” slated to kick off next month in Charlottesville, Virginia.
