Jessie James Decker Reveals The Sweet Way She Knew Baby No. 4's Name

Jessie James Decker shared a few updates with her Instagram followers on Wednesday (March 6), nearly one month after Baby No. 4 made his arrival.

Decker, 35, and her husband, former NFL star Eric Decker, 36, welcomed son Denver Calloway Decker on February 9. The “I’m Gonna Love You” artist said she’s doing well nearly four weeks after Denver’s birth, and revealed the sweet way he got his name.

“He came to me in a dream before I knew the gender,” Decker replied to one Instagram user who asked about Denver’s name. “I dreamt I was holding him, saying his name and he was smiling. He looks exactly how I dreamt him. I woke up and told the family. It’s a boy and his name is Denver 💙 A week later we found out for sure it was our sweet boy 💙.

“We had a girl name picked out. Eric was convinced it was a girl. So were the kids. I wasn’t convinced,” Decker said on another slide on her story, along with one of the topless maternity photos she took on the beach with her husband toward the end of her pregnancy. “I didn’t have a boy name yet and I was losing sleep over it (I’m always prepared in that way). Eric kept telling me ‘it’s a girl, don’t stress. We don’t need a boy name!’ I knew we did. Then boom. I had the dream and told them all it’s a boy and his name is Denver 💙.”

Decker also shared that her three older children — Vivianne, 9, Eric Jr., 8, and Forrest, 5 — are “SO in love” with their new younger brother, and shared photos of them holding the baby. The Just Eat cook book author took a break from answering questions when Denver woke up from a nap.

Decker announced Denver’s arrival on February 18. She previously said that her family feels “very complete,” with four children. She didn’t deliver Denver in the state of Colorado, as she did with her eldest three children, though she included him in the tradition with his name and his Colorado-themed baby shower thrown by Decker’s sister, Sydney Rae Bass, and sister-in-law, Ali James. Decker also shared photos of Denver’s cozy, Colorado-themed nursery.

Decker is one of several country artists welcoming a baby in 2024. Gabby Barrett delivered Baby No. 3 shortly after Denver was born. Kane Brown, Jon Pardi, Parker McCollum and others are also welcoming new additions to their families this year. See the list of baby announcements here.
