Sam Hunt brought Folsom Prison to the CMT Awards in Austin, Texas on April 7th with a vintage, Johnny Cash-inspired performance of his brand new single, "Locked Up," released on Friday (April 5). The standout took over the stage in front of a slew of excited inmates as he delivered an unforgettable performance of the single live for the first time ever!

Hunt stopped by the Moody Center amid his arena-headlining Outskirts Tour to bring his latest music video to life at this year's award show, mirroring scenes of Johnny and June's time in Folsom in 1968. The music video, released Friday, recreates Cash's iconic concert at the prison, and features Hunt's pregnant wife Hannah as June Carter Cash.

The "Body Like a Back Road" artist is a former “Breakthrough Video of the Year” award winner and has been nominated for nine CMT awards throughout his extensive music career. Hunt is slated to perform in Savannah, Georgia on April 11th followed by shows in South Carolina, Virginia, and California next week.

Other artists who took the stage at this year's CMT Music Awards included Megan Moroney, Jason Aldean, Cody Johnson, Little Big Town, Sugarland, Parker McCollum, Brittany Spencer, and more!
