Would you consider the people in your city to be particularly lazy?

Laziness, as defined by the Merriam Webster Dictionary, is being "disinclined to activity or exertion : not energetic or vigorous." Therefore, a lazy person might continually chose to be inactive around or take part in exercise of any kind. With large daily to-do lists, it can be difficult to fit in time for exercise. Some people make it a priority to move their body during their leisure time, and others simply don't.

According to a list compiled by 24/7 Tempo, the laziest city in all of Nebraska is Grand Island.

Here's what 24/7 Tempo had to say about compiling the data to discover the laziest cities in America:

"To identify the least physically active city or metropolitan area in each state, 24/7 Tempo reviewed data from the 2023 County Health Rankings & Roadmaps, a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute joint program. Cities and metros are ranked by the share of adults 20 or older who never exercise in their leisure time. Additional information on the share of adults who report a body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or higher — the standard for adult obesity according to the CDC and the National Institutes of Health — and the share of adults reporting poor or fair health, also came from the 2023 CHR. "
