Mariah The Scientist Arrested Following Recent Nightclub Brawl

Mariah The Scientist has been arrested following her alleged involvement in a fight at an Atlanta nightclub.

According to a report TMZ published on Thursday, May 2, a woman filed a complaint with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office back in March. The alleged victim, Cleopatra Dues, told police that the R&B singer attacked her on the night of March 28 during an event at the Cavo Kitchen and Cocktail lounge. Dues explained how Mariah initiated the physical altercation, tore her wig off her heard and dragged her from the table to the floor. The account appears to match what happened in clips of the brawl, which went viral on social media.

Dues told police she was left with injuries to her feet and legs. The alleged victim said she didn't have her glasses on at the time so she couldn't recognize her attacker at the time. She left the lounge after the fight ended and called police because she "felt unsafe." Dues still doesn't know why the attacked happened, but she plans to press charges. She's actively seeking to obtain all security footage that was taken inside the venue that night.

The singer, born Mariah Buckles, was eventually identified by Dues. Young Thug's girlfriend was apprehended by police and booked into a jail in Atlanta on Wednesday night. Mariah was charged with simple battery and eventually bonded out a few hours later. As of this report, she has yet to comment on the situation.
