Cage The Elephant are dropping their new album Neon Pill on May 17th, and will be celebrating the album's official release with an exclusive iHeartRadio Album Release Party on May 20th in virtual reality!

Neon Pill is the band's sixth full-length album featuring 12 highly-anticipated tracks. The band recently released "Metaverse," their latest single off Neon PilI. "Metaverse" is the fourth song to be released following the singles "Good Time," "Out Loud" and "Neon Pill."

In a statement describing the new album, lead singer Matthew Shultz said, "To me, Neon Pill is the first record where we were consistently uninfluenced, and I mean that in a positive way." Shultz said, "Everything is undoubtedly expressed through having settled into finding our own voice. We’ve always drawn inspiration from artists we love, and at times we’ve even emulated some of them to a certain degree. With this album, having gone through so much, life had almost forced us into becoming more and more comfortable with ourselves. We weren’t reaching for much outside of the pure experience of self-expression, and simultaneously not necessarily settling either. We just found a uniqueness in simply existing."

During their iHeartRadio Album Release Party, Cage The Elephant will perform some of their new music from Neon Pill live. Fans can watch the show on Monday, May 20th at 5pm PT/8pm ET in VR only in Meta Horizon Worlds. Fans can also listen to the live broadcast on Monday, May 20th, at 8pm local time by tuning into their local Alternative Rock stations. The event will give fans the opportunity to watch this immersive concert with Cage The Elephant in VR, hang out with fellow fans from across the globe, connect with their favorite artists, and discover new ones in a spectacular yet intimate way.
