Fans were concerned about Tiger Woods after he participated in a video with poker legend Phil Hellmuth for his TGR Foundation's charity poker night.
Woods' face appeared to be swollen and he stumbled on some words while giving a lengthy statement in the clip shared on Hellmuth's X account last Friday (May 31).
“It’s the stories that the kids come back and tell,” Woods said. “The first generation to ever go to college. Parents said you’d never go to college, grandparents say you’d never go to college, it’s useless. All of a sudden, they’re in college flourishing, going to Stanford, Harvard, MIT, and Yale, going to amazing places doing amazing things. One of our girls … she’s one of the directors who landed one of the rovers on Mars.”

Several X users expressed their concerns, which included one posting, "damn, I hope Tiger is OK..." and another writing, "Tiger looks so sauced."
Woods, widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential golfers of all-time, previously pled guilty to a DUI case in 2017 in which he allegedly had Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanas, Ambien and THC in his system. The 15-time major champion was involved in a single-car crash in Los Angeles on February 23, 2021, which resulted in open fractures affecting both the upper and lower portions of his tibia and fibula in his right leg, as well as other injuries to his foot and ankle.
Woods' 15 career major victories rank second all-time behind only Jack Nicklaus (18) and has 82 PGA Tour victories, tied with Sam Snead for the most all-time.
