Ben Affleck is reportedly feeling more "hopeful" amid his alleged marriage woes with wife Jennifer Lopez after recently making a big change.

The Argo director recently purchased a $20.5 million equestrian estate in Los Angeles weeks after he and Lopez listed the Beverly Hills home they shared together for sale for a steep price amid ongoing speculation surrounding the state of their reportedly troubled relationship. A source sold Entertainment Tonight that the move allows Affleck to be closer to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner to better co-parent the three children they share: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.

"Ben really likes his new home and feels hopeful about the change," the source said. "He wanted to move and be closer to Jen Garner and their kids to make co-parenting easier."

The source added, "It's been a hard time for him, but he's continuing to make his wellbeing and his family a priority."

Rumors of marriage woes have been swirling for months after Affleck was seen without his wedding ring and the "On the Floor" singer reacted to a cryptic post about unhealthy relationships. Most recently, the pair marked their second wedding anniversary on separate coasts, though Lopez was spotted spending time with her stepdaughter Violet.

Additionally, Lopez celebrated her 55th birthday without her husband as a source said she views the milestone as a "fresh start" following a "hard year with some unexpected realizations, changes, and obstacles."
