Cardi B is thankful that she and her unborn baby are alive after she recently went through a "scary" situation.

The soon-to-be mother of three hopped on X Spaces on Thursday, August 8, and opened up about an injury she sustained that could've killed her baby. Cardi said she fell down the stairs and heard a "pop" sound. She recalled being in a lot of pain while she screamed for help at the bottom of the steps. Luckily, her father was in the house and helped her. The 31-year-old rapper initially tried to sleep it off but she eventually had to go to the hospital.

"I got into a little freak accident," she began. "I don't even know how the f**k it happened... but I injured myself and I had a real bad scare. Thank god my dad was here. We thought it wasn't going to be a big issue, but then it became a big issue."

The freak accident left her briefly "paralyzed" and almost resulted in the death of her incoming child. In a separate Spaces conversation, she confirmed that she tore a ligament in her pelvis. She was even dilated and had contractions "every two minutes for a whole 24 hours" as per TMZ. She was in the hospital for about two or three days but she and her baby are ok.

Now that she's back home, Cardi has been ordered to bed rest for a few days and has to complete physical therapy. The Bronx native announced she was pregnant last week on the same day she filed for divorce from Offset. Despite everything happening in her personal life, Bardi still plans to drop her new album this year. She even told fans she would record while in bed.
