Post Malone raised a red solo cup in the air and ignited an audience sing-along when he covered one of Luke Combs’ earliest hits during a recent performance.
Combs shared a video on his Instagram story on Tuesday evening (August 13). Post Malone took the stage with his own rendition of “When It Rains It Pours,” one of 12 tracks to appear on Combs’ debut studio album in 2017. This One’s for You also included the North Carolina-born singer-songwriter’s breakout single, “Hurricane,” “One Number Away” and more.
Post Malone’s “When It Rains It Pours” cover arrives shortly before he releases his own country album. The highly-anticipated project, F-1 Trillion, includes two collaborations with Combs. One of them, “Guy For That,” arrived in July. Post and Combs teamed up to film a music video in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee, surprising a crowd of unsuspecting bar-hoppers along the famous stretch of honky tonks on Lower Broadway.
“Guy For That” is one of three tracks on the 18-track project to release early, following “Pour Me A Drink,” featuring Blake Shelton, and “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen. F-1 Trillion also includes collaborations with Tim McGraw, Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson and others. Post Malone has been performing on major country stages within the year, including at the ACM Awards, at the iconic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, and on Wednesday evening (August 14), he’ll make his Grand Ole Opry debut.
F- 1 Trillion is set to release on Friday (August 16).
