Zoë Kravitz and beau Channing Tatum have the same love language, and it's not one of five you might expect.
According to E!News, the adorable duo's love language is one that sparks creativity within their connection, in and out of work. Kravitz spoke of the pair's similar interests during an interview with the outlet on Wednesday (August 14).
“Making art is our love language. We hope to continue doing it.” The standout praised art as a route to growth, citing its ability to get them out of their comfort zones. In fact, Kravitz, who is directing upcoming thriller Blink Twice, chose Tatum to play the film's antagonist (Slater King) despite the star's lack of experience playing similar roles.
"I approached him knowing he was the right person and just hoping that he would do it. He was asking me, ‘Why do you think I should play this role?’ He said, ‘No one really asks me to play roles like this.' And I said, ‘That's exactly why I'm doing it."' It was the pair's love for art that led the Big Little Lies alum to consider her partner for the role.
"I know as artists, we always want to do something different and something a little bit scary. And I wanted to try and weaponize his charisma." As for making art on set, Kravitz detailed how proud she is of her beau for being "so good in the film," that she can't wait for the world to see him in action.
"We were so in tune. We worked on this project together, developing the character for so long. There are some scenes that people will see that are just off the charts. He's so good in the film. I’m so proud of him."
Tatum resounded Kravitz's opinion in an interview with E!News last month, revealing that their relationship was actually born from creativity, so it only makes sense that it remains the theme of their love story.
"Our relationship was sort of born inside of the creative process of it in a way. It didn't feel any different. That was what brought us together and made us really feel like we're very connected on what we love about life, what we love about just things in general about being alive."
Fans can catch Kravitz's directorial debut, Blink Twice, starring Tatum, in theaters August 23rd!
