Lainey Wilson marked a new career milestone on Post Malone’s highly-anticipated country album.
Post released F-1 Trillion on Friday (August 16). The genre-blending artist teamed up with some of Music City’s most well-respected singers and songwriters to create the 18-track country project, including Wilson. The Bell Bottom Country singer duets with Posty on “Nosedive,” which the pair performed before its release when Post Malone made his debut on the historic Grand Ole Opry stage earlier this week. The album also marked Wilson’s first songwriting credit on a song recorded my globally-beloved music legend, Dolly Parton.
Parton teamed up with Post Malone on “Have The Heart,” one of many collaborations appearing on Posty’s star-studded country collection. Wilson shared the list of songwriters on the duet, including herself, Post Malone, Ashley Gorley, Brad Paisley, Charlie Handsome and Louis Bell. Wilson wrote as she shared a previous recording of the song on her Instagram story that it’s been “crazy to see ‘Have The Heart’ all come to life. Here’s to the little ditty that hit me in the truck ride over to our write that day. So proud of this song.”
“Country music loves ya brother! I’m so happy to be a part of this record, and I loved watching you step into that circle at the [Opry]. Now I’ve got you to thank for getting my first [Dolly Parton] cut too??…you’re 1 in F-trillion [Post Malone]!” Wilson wrote in a caption on Instagram on Friday morning, adding that her duet with Post, “Nosedive,” is out now. It’s one of 15 collaborations on the 18-track record (and 9 additional tracks on the surprise extended edition, Post confirmed on Friday), along with Parton, Paisley, Luke Combs, Hank Williams Jr., Jelly Roll and others.
