Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua was among three players placed on injured reserve on Wednesday (September 11), which will force him to miss four weeks in adherence with league rules, TheRams.com senior staff writer Stu Jackson reported on Wednesday (September 11).
"The Rams have placed wide receiver Puka Nacua (knee), offensive lineman Steve Avila (knee) and offensive lineman Joe Noteboom (ankle) on Injured Reserve," Jackson wrote. "The trio will miss at least the four games as a result. Those next four games for Los Angeles are at the Arizona Cardinals, hosting the San Francisco 49ers at home, at the Chicago Bears, and hosting the Green Bay Packers at home."
Nacua, 23, recorded four receptions for 23 yards, as well as seven yards on rushing attempt, before suffering a knee injury in the second quarter of Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions. The former BYU standout is coming off a breakout rookie season in which he was selected as a second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowler, setting NFL records for receptions in a rookie season (105), receiving yards in a rookie season (1,486), receptions by a rookie in a game (15) and receiving yards by a rookie in a playoff game (181).
