Megan Thee Stallion Takes The Lead Of 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards Nominations

Megan Thee Stallion came out on top with the most nominations ahead of the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards.
BET revealed the list of nominees on Wednesday afternoon, September 18, less than a month before the annual award show. Meg racked up 12 nominations from the 17 categories including Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Video for "BOA," and Hip-Hop Album of the Year for her Megan LP. She was also nominated for Best Collaboration thanks to three songs including Cardi B's "Bongos," GloRilla's "Wanna Be" and "Mamushi" featuring Yuki Chiba.

Kendrick Lamar came in second with 11 nominations followed by Drake, who earned eight nods. GloRilla, Cardi B, Metro Boomin and Nicki Minaj earned seven nominations each. Future and Travis Scott earned a total of six nominations plus 21 Savage and New York-based group 41, who earned four nods each.
The 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards are going down in Las Vegas for the first time ever. Fat Joe will host and co-produce the event for the third time. The show will be taped on October 8 and will air on October 15 at 8 p.m. EST.
“Joe Crack is back for the three-peat, night night baby,” Fat Joe said in a statement. “It’s been a dream to host the BET Hip Hop Awards the past few years, and I’m looking forward to taking things to the next level in Las Vegas. We’re going to be in a new city and location, but the excitement and entertainment at the awards will be even bigger than ever.”
