Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert are stirring eagerness for duets together.
The two powerhouse singer-songwriters teased performances together in an exchange on X, formerly Twitter. A post by a Clarkson fan account on August 28 reads, “I pray Kelly duets with Miranda Lambert when she’s on the show [The Kelly Clarkson Show] this season!”
Lambert, who is set to receive the Icon Award at the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards later this month, reposted it on Tuesday (September 17) with a message to Clarkson: “[Kelly Clarkson] what do you say we sing some songs together?” Clarkson replied in her own post on Thursday (September 19): “Let’s do it [Miranda Lambert].”

Clarkson has often covered songs by country artists during her genre-spanning Kellyoke performances, including her rendition of Lambert’s “Tin Man” earlier this year. She's also covered hits by The Judds, Keith Urban, Maren Morris, Lainey Wilson, Brooks & Dunn and many others. The exchange between Clarkson and Lambert arrives shortly after Lambert released her latest full-length studio album, Postcards from Texas, serving as a nod to her home state. The 14-track record includes “Armadillo,” “Dammit Randy,” “Santa Fe” featuring Parker McCollum, “Wranglers,” “Alimony,” “No Man’s Land” and more. She described the project as “honky tonk as hell.”
