Dallas Cowboys All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons suffered a high-ankle sprain during his team's 20-15 Thursday Night Football road win against the NFC East Division rival New York Giants, an MRI confirmed Friday (September 27) morning, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
"Sources: #Cowboys All-Pro Micah Parsons did, in fact, suffer a high-ankle sprain in last night’s win over the #Giants. His status is to be determined," Rapoport wrote on his X account.
Parsons' timetable has not yet been determined, however, the Cowboys have extra days off after playing in a Thursday night game, as well as an upcoming bye week after games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions, which could limit how much time is missed.
"Dallas has two games, then a bye week. The #Cowboys play the #49ers on Oct. 27 -- a month from today. Assuming Parsons has to miss some time, the schedule sets up as well as one can hope," Rapoport wrote.

Parsons, 25, was carted off the field during the fourth quarter of Thursday's win.
"Right now, I just iced it, you know, I know very little. I got an MRI tomorrow and I'm going to try to get back next week," Parsons told reporters after the game via WFAA.
The linebacker was seen walking with a limp as he left MetLife Stadium Thursday night in footage captured by the news station.
Parsons was selected by the Cowboys at No. 12 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft and quickly emerged as one of the league's best defensive players. The former Penn State standout was the 2021 Defensive Player of the Year and has been selected as an All-Pro and Pro Bowler during each of his first three NFL seasons.
