J. Cole's Dreamville Fest will host its fifth and final event in 2025.
The North Carolina rapper's manager Ibrahim "Ib" Hamad made the shocking announcement on social media Tuesday afternoon, December 10. He didn't explain why the iconic festival based in Cole's hometown is winding down. However, he made sure to thank every fan who attended and each person who worked to put on the festival over the past four years.
"This Festival is something a lot of people have been working very hard to bring you and it’s honestly been a dream come true seeing the impact," Ib wrote.
Thank You North Carolina. Thank you to everyone who’s travelled from all over the last 4 years to enjoy our little family reunion. This Festival is something a lot of people have been working very hard to bring you and it’s honestly been a dream come true seeing the impact. pic.twitter.com/gl3gsN9yOJ

"I love yall for real," he added, "yall don’t know how hard and how much work it takes to bring yall this event but just know yall make it more than worth it every year. I can be here all day if I have to name everyone that works they ass off for this but we gon celebrate this one. Love ❤️"
Dreamville Fest first launched in 2019 featuring the entire Dreamville roster plus performers like SZA, Big Sean, 21 Savage, Nelly, Teyana Taylor, 6LACK, Davido, Saba, Rapsody, and more. Much like other festivals and events, Dreamville Fest was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic and didn't return until 2022. Dreamville continued its run in 2023 and held its most recent event earlier this year. J. Cole headlined the festival each year, but his performance this past April was overshadowed after he apologized to Kendrick Lamar amid the ongoing beef between K-Dot and Drake.
The fifth and final Dreamville Festival is happening April 5 and April 6, 2025. As of this report, the lineup has not been revealed. Tickets are on sale now. Scroll below to see Dreamville's official statement on its last festival.

From the moment the idea of a festival took shape, we couldn’t help but wonder: were we in over our heads? Would people come to our home in Raleigh? What would that even look like?

We took a leap of faith—breaking ground, making announcements, and even navigating reschedules due to natures elements and a world that seemed to be falling apart. Through every challenge and milestone, our community stood by us.

Watching people from all over the world and all walks of life gather here each year has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of our journey. Whether it’s the day-one fans or the newcomers, each reunion has been unforgettable.

As we approach our 5th and final year, we want to invite our alumni and new pledges to come together one last time—to break bread, share fellowship, and celebrate this thing of ours.
