Joey Bada$$ continues to fire back at Daylyt, Ray Vaughn, and the other artists who've dissed him on his latest banger.
On Monday night, May 19, the New York rapper dropped his latest diss track "MY TOWN" featuring Loaded Lux. On the Kirk Knight-produced track, Bada$$ embraces the 20v1 battle between him and West Coast artists by accusing Daylyt of competing against Vaughn after both artists unleashed diss tracks aimed at Joey.
"The question is it, me v. you or you v. Ray?/Either way these L's gettin' passed out," Joey spits. "Lights off, when I black out/Swervin' in the lane with me, better crash out."
"Nothing you could say could take away that sus s**t you said on VLAD/I would say, I'ma get on your ass, but you might like that," he continues. "I'm smokin' all you n***as in the blunt, this the 'Lyt pack."
Later in his verse, Joey comes for Ray Vaughn, Reason, and Az Chike. Vaughn has dropped five diss tracks about Joey Bada$$ since the Pro Era rapper first ruffled feathers on his song "The Ruler's Back." Meanwhile, Az Chike, who was featured on Kendrick Lamar's GNX album, just entered the ring with his song "What Would You Do?"
"The kid from West Brook' got the whole West cooked/They jabs weak now, heard they workin' on they best hook," Joey raps. "Look, Ray Vaughn was so last week/Now, I'm hearing shit about some n***a named 'Ass Cheek'/Who wanna be the next victim?/How many Top Dawgs will it take to sick 'em?"
In addition, Joey Bada$$ also calls out Kendrick Lamar once again. The 30-year-old has been challenging K.Dot in his rhymes since January. In his latest verse, the "Raising Kanan" star refers to Lamar as "the general" and claims he's "killing his troops."
"I'm the real bogeyman, y'all n***as should be afraid," Joey continues. "F**k takin' y'all so long? You n***as seven days/All 'em shots y'all took and I ain't even get grazed/Sonnin' y'all, Kanan ain't the only thing gettin' raised."
Loaded Lux appears at the end of "MY TOWN" with his own vicious bars aimed at Daylyt. He begins by calling out his longtime opponent for not committing to a rap battle over the years. Lux also encourages Joey's melee against the West Coast artists toward the end of his verse.
"That's why you wear that ski mask, careers on a slope," Lux spits. "Your s**t playin' freeze tag, you been going for broke/End game, Joey out here lightin' you up."
Daylyt and Ray Vaughn didn't let Joey Bada$$ slide with his disrespectful track. They responded with their respective diss tracks, "Golden Eye" and "AYO." Listen to their responses to Joey and Lux's new collaboration below.
