Joey Bada$$ Vs. Everybody: All The Diss Tracks From His Wild Rap Battle

By Tony M. Centeno

May 21, 2025

Joey Bada$$ wants all the smoke with whoever can face him on the mic, and he's proved that with each diss track he's dropped this year.

Joey's gripe with West Coast artists like Kendrick Lamar began at the top of the year when he dropped his controversial track "The Ruler's Back." On the record, the face of Pro Era dubbed himself the King of New York and launched a full attack on K.Dot by bringing up his beef with Drake and invoking a battle cry once uttered by JAY-Z on "22 Two's" from his debut album Reasonable Doubt.

"Too much West Coast d**k lickin'/I'm hearin' n***as throwin' rocks, really ain't s**t stickin'," Joey raps. "'Cause if we talkin' bar for bar, really it's slim pickings/I rap like I draw pentagrams and kill chickens."

Since Joey opened Pandora's Box in January, numerous artists from the West Coast felt slighted and took it upon themselves to respond. California rappers like Daylyt and Ray Vaughn fired off several diss tracks aimed at Joey. Every time they dropped, Joey would shoot back with more jaw-dropping tracks. All three artists kept the back-and-forth going until Joey Bada$$, Big Sean, and Ab-Soul shook the block even more with their "Red Bull Spiral Freestyle" earlier this month.

"First off, I could never hate the West Coast/But since n***as comin' for Joe, f**k it then, let's go," Joey spits. "N***as must've forgot what Dot said on 'Control'/There’s still a buncha sensitive rappers in they pajama clothes."

Since then, West Coast rappers like Reason, AZ Chike, and Hitta J3 have all jumped in the ring to slander Joey with their vicious bars. Meanwhile, the East Coast beast got some support from his fellow Pro Era members CJ Fly and Kirk Knight. Knight produced songs like "My Town" and "Crash Dummy" while CJ dropped his own responses to Joey's opps. In addition, newcomers like Kai Ca$h and Jadakiss' son JaeWon have also repped their set as they defend New York in the ongoing battle.

Despite all the responses he's received so far, Joey Bada$$ has yet to hear a word from Kendrick Lamar. The 30-year-old rapper has tried to bait K.Dot into a lyrical spar since January, but Dot hasn't flinched. We'll see if he (or anyone else from his camp) will respond.

In the meantime, there are plenty of bars to ingest from each diss track. If you haven't already, listen to all the songs from Joey Bada$$'s battle with the West Coast below.
