Kid Cudi appreciates all the support he's received since he testified in Sean "Diddy" Combs' criminal trial.
The Cleveland native addressed his fans after stepping down from the witness stand on Thursday, May 22, and thanked them for the influx of encouraging messages. Cudi, born Scott Mescudi, testified about his relationship with Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura, the abuse she allegedly endured, and what happened after Combs found out about their relationship on the ninth day of the mogul's sex trafficking trial.
"I've been seeing all the love and support. I just wanna say thank you so much, man," Cudi said.

"People been hitting me up the past week, just checking in," he continued. "And even today. It really means a lot to me, man. You guys are the best. I love y'all. This is a stressful situation. I'm glad it's behind me. I love y'all. Big love. Go stream 'Neverland'."
During his testimony, Kid Cudi testified that he began dating Cassie after she briefly left Combs in 2011. He told the jury they had fallen in love, but their relationship got rocky after Combs found out about it. He accused the mogul of breaking into his house, ripping open gifts, and locking his dog in a bathroom.
"I got back in & called Sean Combs again. I was looking for him. I wanted to fight him," Cudi said on the stand. After describing how he and Combs exchanged phone calls, Cudi said he told the mogul "That I didn't want to talk with him, he broke into my house, hurt my dog."
Afterward, Cudi recalled the moment when his dog sitter called him and said that his Porsche had been set on fire. He described the hole that was cut into the top of his car and the Molotov cocktail that was used to set it on fire. When asked about his reaction to the fire, Cudi said, "what the f**k?" He also said he believed the fire was set intentionally. He said he called Combs and set up a meeting at the SoHo House. During the meeting, Cudi recalled how Combs stood there "like a Marvel Super Villain" and was very calm. After discussing his relationship with Cassie, Cudi asked Combs about his car.
"He said, 'I don't know what you are talking about.' I walked away," Cudi told the jury.

Following his testimony, Kid Cudi had plenty of support, but he also faced some backlash. Artists like Young Thug took to social media and called him a "rat" for testifying against Combs. "Dam cudi a rat," he wrote in his now-deleted post.
Combs isn't facing any charges related to Cudi, however, his testimony may be used to illustrate the artist's pattern of violent abuse and retaliation tactics against others who went against his wishes. Combs his facing five counts of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
