Jeezy says he would "absolutely" spin the block with Nia Long now that his marriage to Jeannie Mai has ended.
The Atlanta rapper and author stopped by The Breakfast Club on Wednesday, June 11, to talk about his "Thug Motivation 101 20th Anniversary Tour." During their conversation, Charlamagne Tha God mentioned Jeezy's one-on-one interview with Nia Long and asked the Snowman how he felt about the Internet's comments about him trying to holla at the seasoned actress.
"They ain't lying," Jeezy responded. "When you say I was tryna holla, yeah I was, you know, but I had to be respectful because I was still finalizing..."
“It was hard. It was tough staying focused,” he continued.
Jess Hilarious pressed the issue further by asking Jeezy if he would spin the block for Nia Long, and he said, "absolutely." “I’mma hit the park button,” he added, “I’m not gone’ play about that.”
Jeezy is free to holla at whoever he wants. The Snofall rapper finalized his divorce from Jeannie Mai last year following a nasty custody battle over their young daughter. During the interview, Jeezy said he was able to reach a peaceful resolution with his ex-wife.
“I just want peace," Jeezy said. "I just want joy and I just want freedom. I love my freedom.”
You can catch Jeezy on tour this summer in celebration of the 20th anniversary of his third studio album, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101. The "Soul Survivor" rapper will perform hits from the album with support from DJ Drama and a live orchestra. The tour begins in Miami on June 27 and will travel to other major cities until it wraps up in Detroit on Sept. 12.
