Luke Bryan shared an update to his fans after postponing and canceling performances “due to continued illness.”

Bryan said in a video on his Instagram story on Wednesday afternoon (July 9): “What’s up, y’all? Hope everybody had a great Fourth. And I wanted to thank everybody for all the well wishes for the last few shows that I had to postpone and obviously cancel. I want to thank my buddy, Eric Church, for stepping in and helping out with me. It really, really gets frustrating getting sick like that and losing my voice and having to take a couple weekends off. But thank you guys for supporting me. I love y’all and will see y’all in the shows to come. Love you.”

Bryan first announced on Jun 20 that he would have to reschedule two of his tour dates because of illness. Those shows were set for Dallas, Texas, and Lafayette, Louisiana. Bryan will return to those cities on September 12 and September 11, respectively. The Mind Of A Country Boy star said on June 25 that he was “really sorry to say” he would not be able to perform that weekend “due to continued illness.” Church stepped in last-minute to perform instead. Bryan’s next concert is set for Thursday (July 10) on the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Ontario, Canada., his tour dates show.
