Update On Taylor Swift's Father Following Major Medical Procedure

Taylor Swift's dad, Scott Swift, recently underwent a major heart procedure.

According to People, the 73-year-old is still recovering from a quintuple bypass surgery that took place just over a month ago. The outlet revealed that medical professionals strongly recommended the procedure, which was deemed necessary for his well-being following a routine check-up.

Swift has been by her father's side throughout the entirety of his surgery and recovery, along with her mother, Andrea, and her brother, Austin.

The "Cruel Summer" songstress has been very open about her parents' health in the past. In 2019, she wrote an essay for Elle in which she explained that both her parents battled cancer.

"Both of my parents have had cancer. I've had to learn how to handle serious illness in my family ... It's taught me that there are real problems and then there's everything else."

Just as Taylor has stood by Scott during his recovery, Scott has supported his daughter at every stage of her career. In August 2024, he even handed out chicken tenders to fans at one of her Eras Tour shows. Talk about a dedicated dad!

The "Bejeweled" hitmaker has yet to offer a public comment on Scott's quintuple bypass surgery and recovery.
