Troy Ave and his friend, Chef Geoff Cole, have been accused of faking the shootout that happened outside of Cole's home last month.

The "All About The Money" rapper and Chef Geoff led people to believe that a masked thief armed with a gun attempted to rob the Chef Fest founder at his home in San Diego last month. Surveillance video Cole posted to Instagram on Tuesday, July 15, showed the moment when the robber ran up the driveway, rammed Cole and tried to steal a blue bag of money. Within seconds, Troy Ave pulled out his gun and fired two shots. However, people in the comment section were convinced it was all staged.

TMZ confirmed that police did not receive any reports of an attempted robbery or a shooting in that area around the time of the alleged incident. They also spoke to sources who claim that Troy Ave didn't fire any live rounds of ammunition from his gun, and the alleged robber didn't actually steal anything from Cole.

The pair has yet to directly address the situation despite TMZ's numerous attempts to contact them. However, Cole seemingly tried to shut down the rumor by posting more surveillance video to his Instagram Story. In the clip, you can see two men in Sheriff's uniforms investigating Cole's driveway. They were spotted taking photos of the vehicle and the rest of the property.
