Trina was welcomed with open arms during her recent show at SeaWorld, but she almost hesitated after she received some strong feedback from PETA.
According to a report VIBE published on Tuesday, August 12, the Diamond Princess said she got some "aggressive" messages from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) before her scheduled concert. Trina said they advised her to take a stand against the animal water theme park in San Diego by making a “commitment to stay away from SeaWorld.” Although she's adamant about her stance against animal abuse, the Miami native decided to hit the stage anyway.
“We love you as an artist, we respect you, but you can’t perform,” PETA told her, per Trina.
PETA confirmed that they did advise her to cancel her show a few months in advance. It's not clear if the nonprofit organization has reached out to the other artists who have recently performed at SeaWorld as part of its summer concert series. Over the past few weeks, numerous notable Hip-Hop artists like Fat Joe, Bow Wow, Ying Yang Twins, and Soulja Boy have all performed their hits at the Bayside Amphitheater. Just like the past shows, Trina's audience turned up while she performed her classics like "Da Baddest B*tch," "B R Right" and "Here We Go." Her artist Nia Amber also performed during her set as well.
