It's nice to have a friend — even if they destroy your house.

Zoë Kravitz appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (August 12) where she revealed how she unintentionally "destroyed" Taylor Swift's Beverly Hills home after the "Fortnight" singer offered her and her mother Lisa Bonet a place to stay during the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles earlier this year, per People.

"Taylor has a very beautiful house from the '30s, it's something you want to preserve and take care of," she said. "It was the last day, I was gonna leave [for work], my mom was actually going to stay longer ... and I was saying to my mom, 'I really want to be a good house guest ... I don't want her to even know we were here.'"

However, things went awry when Bonet's pet snake, Orpheus, managed to make an escape into the home. The Batman actress remembered receiving a call from her mom who admitted she was "in a little bit of a pickle" and asked for some assistance.

"She's [in] the bathroom and she's like crouched down in the corner in this weird way," she said. "She's like, 'so I was washing my face and I had Orpheus and I just put her down for a second, closed the door and she found this little hole in the corner.'"

She continued, "The hole is next to a banquette that is built into the wall that has two drawers at the bottom... So I get down the ground, I take the drawers out [and] as this is happening, the snake is getting further and further [away]... I was panicking so much."

With some help from the house manager, Kravitz and Bonet "completely destroyed Taylor's bathroom" as they used a crowbar to "tear apart" the banquette to catch the snake, scratching walls and "ripping up the tile." And despite hoping to keep Swift in the dark until Kravitz could pay to have everything "fixed," the Midnights musician found out anyway.

"I remember calling her and saying, 'Hey... I wanted to talk to you about something,'" she said. "And she was like, 'Is it the fact that you almost lost a snake in the house and destroyed my bathroom?'"

Fortunately for the friends, there appears to be no bad blood between them.
