Kim Kardashian is switching up her look!

The SKIMS founder recently took to her Instagram to show off her dramatic new hair transformation, swapping her signature long dark locks for a lighter hue perfect for sunny summer days.

Kardashian gave fans a look at her ash blonde tresses with dark roots in a selfie that looks as if it was taken in the middle of getting her hair styled. In the snap, she puckered up for the camera while half of her hair was formed into twists and braids and a lock was clipped at the front, obscuring her face. More extensions tracks matching her new 'do were spotted in the background.

This isn't the first time Kardashian has shown that blondes have more fun. Over the years, she has notably traded her darker tresses for a light blonde or even platinum look that ensures she stands out in a crowd.

The Kardashians star has even modeled the lighter look during multiple appearances at the Met Gala, per E! News. In 2024, her hairstylist Chris Appleton took her platinum blonde at the request of Maison Margiela creative director John Galliano, and she channeled Marilyn Monroe in 2022 with a slicked-back blonde bun while wearing the Some Like It Hot actress's own gown.
