Kris Jenner is breaking her silence about going under the knife for a new facelift.
The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch and famed momager, 69, is tapped as Vogue Arabia's September cover star and in a new interview published Tuesday (August 26), she opened up about once again undergoing a cosmetic procedure to appear more youthful over a decade after her last facelift, per People.
"I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh," she said. "I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy."
The Kardashians star, who underwent cosmetic enhancements from plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Levine in New York City, noted that while some people may decide against plastic surgery for a more natural look, this is her version of aging gracefully.
"Just because you get older, it doesn't mean you should give up on yourself," she said. "If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully — meaning you don't want to do anything — then don't do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It's my version."
She also explained why now, after months of making headlines about her new youthful glow, she is sharing details of her experience.
"I decided to reveal some details because I feel it can be very inspirational to people who aren't feeling so great about themselves," she said. "Even when I had my hip replacement, we filmed it. I have the conviction that sharing these things can be helpful."
Jenner previously opened up about undergoing an emotional surgery to address a "troubling health scare," and while the results were "nice to hear," she was still "very sad" about the process.
