The South Florida Bulls made the Week 3 Associated Press Top 25 College Football Poll after their 18-16 upset against the Florida Gators at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday (September 6).
The Bulls, who entered the Top 25 at No. 18 overall this week, are coming off back-to-back wins against ranked opponents, with their Week 1 upset of then-No. 25 Boise State marking their first victory against a ranked opponent since 2016, having previously lost 18 consecutive matchups against Top 25 teams. The win was also South Florida's first road win against a ranked opponent since its 23-20 win against then-No. 16 Notre Dame on September 3, 2011.
The Tennessee Volunteers had the biggest jump of any team ranked in Week 2, moving up seven spots from No. 22 to No. 15 following their 72-17 win against the East Tennessee State Buccaneers on Saturday.
