Apple officially announced the iPhone 17, which includes the newest model, the iPhone 17 Air, during its biggest launch event of the year on Tuesday (September 9), CNBC reports.

The entry level iPhone will still be priced at $799, while the thinner and lighter iPhone 17 Air will start at $999. The Apple iPhone 17 Pro will be $100 more, starting at $1,099 and will have 256BG of storage, more than the entry-level iPhone 17's 128GB.

Apple also announced the new AirPods Pro 3, which will offer improved audio quality and noise cancelling, as well as the new translate conversations feature, costing $249, the same as the AirPods Pro 2. Apple also announced the release of three new Apple Watch models as part of its Series 11, all of which will be offered at the same prices as previously offered.

The new iPhone will be the first to be released since President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs on overseas manufacturing, with the new phones expected to be produced at the company's manufacturing hubs in China and India. Last week, an alleged video showing what appeared to be the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max leaked on the Chinese social media platform Weibo.

The 10-second clip showed a worker lifting what appears to be a large silver iPhone, revealing a camera island and redesigned back panel showing the Apple logo, before repeating the process with similar units in other colors.
