September 10, 2025
Luke Bryan is joining late music legend Dan Seals on a collaborative rendition of Seals’ 1980s classic, “Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold).”
Seals was a Texas-born musician known for his work with soft rock duo England Dan & John Ford Coley and his lasting impact on country and pop genres in his solo career. The 2024 Texas Heritage Songwriter Hall of Fame honoree included the ballad “Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)” on his 1985 studio record, Won’t Be Blue Anymore. It became one of the biggest hits of Seals’ decades-long career, in addition to “Meet Me in Montana” with Marie Osmond, “Bop,” “God Must Be a Cowboy,” “I Will Be There,” “Good Times” and more. Seals died of Mantle cell lymphoma in 2009 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 61.
“When I think of all time iconic songs, this one definitely comes top of mind,” Bryan said in a statement of his song on an upcoming duets collection. “Dan was an artist I had on repeat and actually still do. I sang this song when I was back in Georgia and now to be here and paired with him on this new release is just unbelievable.”
The “Country Song Came On” artist’s collaboration with late legend Seals will arrive on Friday (September 12).
