Jessie J is rolling with the punches.
The English singer, 37, shared a video to Instagram on Monday (October 27) revealing that the second breast cancer surgery she had planned for this month, and which she canceled her U.S. tour for, had been postponed, per People.
"Some of you may know, some of you may not know, I was supposed to have a second breast surgery two weeks ago," she said. "So a week before my surgery I went to my surgeon and we discussed my surgery and it felt a little more complex than he was anticipating and referred me to a different surgeon who I then saw, had a meeting with who said: I think this can wait a little while."
Naturally, the "Price Tag" singer was feeling "frustrated" by the situation especially as she already had been forced to alter tour plans to accommodate the surgery.
"Obviously, I'd already cancelled my tour so I was obviously frustrated but again it's out of my control and two different surgeons had two different opinions," she said.
Because of this extra time, she was able to reschedule No Secrets tour dates for the U.S. and Canada shops that are set for January. She also explained in the video that fans who had already purchased tickets will get the first chance at new tickets starting Tuesday because "I feel so bad it was canceled" before. Fans subscribed to her mailing list will have their chance Wednesday while remaining general sale tickets will be available Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
In August, Jessie shared that she had to postpone some tour dates in Europe and cancel the U.S. dates entirely because she needed a second surgery amid her cancer journey. She revealed in June that she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer and later had a mastectomy.
