Luke Bryan shared a clip of “the go-to cover” he released with fellow country star Jason Aldean.

Bryan and Aldean teamed up to perform “Sunday in the South, which Shenandoah released in 1989 on their 10-track album, The Road Not Taken. Bryan wrote in his caption on Instagram he “loved getting to play” the song with Aldean as he shared a glimpse of a recent performance on Sunday (November 2).

Bryan and Aldean debuted their new version of the classic country song with Shenandoah in September 2024. Shenandoah’s lead vocalist, Marty Raybon, said in a statement at that time that “recording one of the staples in our set list with a couple of country boys like Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan couldn’t have been a better fit.” He added that he and his bandmates “are honored that they would be part of such a meaningful song to us. They sure did carry the mail!”

Shenandoah commented on Bryan’s post on Instagram, writing that Bryan and Aldean “nailed it.” Watch Bryan’s video of the performance here, and listen to the full version of “Sunday in the South” by Shenandoah, Bryan and Aldean below.
