Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Megan Moroney and other artist will take the stage at the 59th CMA Awards, the Country Music Association announced on Thursday morning (November 6).
The initial lineup announcement includes some of the genre’s superstars alongside rising artists and first-time nominees. The full list revealed on Thursday includes: BigXthaPlug, Combs, Ella Langley, Moroney, Shaboozey, Zach Top, Tucker Wetmore, Wilson and Stephen Wilson Jr.
Wilson is set to host the show for her second consecutive year, and her first time as a solo host. That makes her the first female artist to host the CMA Awards by herself since Reba McEntire hosted more than three decades ago. Wilson recently spoke about the 34-year gap and more during a conversation with Senior Music Editor Joseph Hudak on an episode of Rolling Stone’s Nashville Now podcast.
“I grew up watching the CMA Awards like it was the Super Bowl, so to be hosting for a second year is a true honor,” Wilson previously said in a statement.“I’m humbled that CMA has trusted me with this role, and I can’t wait to love on this genre that has given me so much.”
