J. Cole's highly anticipated double-album is finally here.

On Friday, February 6, Jermaine Cole delivered his intended final LP, The Fall-Off, via Dreamville/Interscope Records. The double-disc project comes with 24 tracks in total, including stand-out hits like "Two Six," "Legacy," "Who TF IZ U," and "Old Dog." Cole and T-minus produced a majority of the project, but he also enlisted some surprise acts to contribute, including Future, Tems, The Alchemist, Erykah Badu, and Burna Boy. He also pays homage to some of hip-hop's finest, like DMX on "Life Sentence" and Common on "I Love Her Again."

As he explained earlier this week, Disc 29 was inspired by his story of returning home to Fayetteville when he was age 29 after he spent a decade in New York City following his success. The second volume, Disc 39, is centered around a similar trip he took back home when he was age 39. J. Cole has been teasing the album for quite some time. After including the "intro to The Fall-Off" on his KOD album in 2019, Cole mapped out the end of his music career in a photo that still gets shared on social media to this day. The layout began with his iconic feature run in 2019 and Revenge of the Dreamers III. Following his 2021 album The Off-Season, Cole listed It's A Boy and finally The Fall-Off.

Cole had only alluded to the project in guest verses until he finally announced the release date last month. After he shared the powerful visuals for "The Fall-Off Is Inevitable," the 41-year-old rapper shocked fans around the world with his EP Birthday Blizzard '26 hosted by DJ Clue? The project features four fresh freestyles, in which he addresses his apology to Kendrick Lamar and his beef with other artists.
