Liam Payne's nine-year-old son has officially been named as the sole benefactor of the late singer's estate.

Per TMZ, Bear Grey Payne has been awarded the former One Direction star's $28 million fortune. While some funds are available now to the child, the majority of wealth is in a trust until Bear turns 18.

Payne, who died in October 2024 after he fell to his death in Buenos Aires, Argentina, did not have a will at the time of his death. Bear's mother, the British pop star Cheryl, and music attorney Richard Bray, were named administrators of the late musician's estate.

Following his death, One Direction released a joint statement mourning the loss of their "brother."

"I feel so fortunate that I got to see him recently. I sadly didn't know that after saying goodbye and hugging him that evening, I would be saying goodbye forever," former bandmate Niall Horan said at the time. "It's heartbreaking."
