Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the best of two pros and a couple of Joe.
So how about that forty Niner home game in Mexico
City last night? Huh? How about that? It's pretty cool?
Talk about it. They go to l A, they get
a home game. They go to Mexico City, they get
a home game, complete and total domination. You got Jimmy
g walking in and like a pink salmon suit and
then throwing four touchdowns probably his best game of the season.
(00:25):
Niners are rolling man, dark horse, super Bowl candidate at
the NFC. What do we think in Niners here? What
we like them? Yeah? I just I keep going back
to the fact that this all happened because Trade Lance
got hurt. It's crazy. It's too bad. I don't mean
to say that. Again, not to take a slight at
trade Lance, but and if you're a believer that Trade
(00:47):
Lance would have been in the same spot, I think
you're nuts. I really do. I mean, I just I don't.
I don't think you realize how far along he needed
to come to take it to the point where he
could distribute the football like Jimmy Garoppolo can. So it
it's it's I don't want to say I'm happy to
see Jimmy Garoppolo thriving this instance, because that comes at
the expense of Trey Lance. But it is awesome to
(01:10):
see this team reaching its potential. There is a talented
of the rosters you'll find, and they they should be
making a Super Bowl run. You know if you were
if you had to go through a year of watching
Tray Lance develop and even to decide if he's the
guy or not, it would be a shame for all
the other talented players on this team that that now
are capable of maybe playing a Super Bowl. It was
(01:30):
a physical game. I mean it was so physical. Watching
the way they were blocking, the way they were tackling,
the way they were running the ball. It was just
such a physical game. I loved it. I thought it
was a beautiful game. It was beautifully played. Um it's
interesting because I look at the Cardinals, and the Cardinals
(01:51):
aren't a bad team. Like watching the way that they played,
you could see where they could, you know, make big plays,
make good plays, be be competitive. I gotta be honest,
I feel like thet is played in a way. Last
night they put everybody on notice. In the NFC, they
(02:12):
put everybody on notice. Like they might be the best
team in the NFC right now today. You know, it's
fun about the forty niners. They do it differently than
everybody else, Like you know, who's going to get the ball,
Like George Kittle Brady called that game last week against
the Chargers, he was basically another offensive tackle, like he
like he wasn't used really in the passing game at all.
(02:34):
And then last night there he is catching two touchdowns.
Now one of them a guy looked like he oh
laid on the sideline and maybe he kind of gave
up on I don't know what the hell happened on
that final play. But it's like everyn't that yeah, part
of that. Yeah, it just seems like every game somebody
else is a star in that offense. And it's just
whether it's end a rounds or gadget plays, they're just
(02:54):
they're fun to watch, man. And you know, once they
get to the postseason, if they want to run it
forty times, they're just gonna run it for a lot
of balance. They balanced it out of the backfield, They
balanced in the passing game. I mean there were there
was a lot of balance. You know, it's funny looking
at their schedule. We kind of talked about this, I
think when DeAndre Hopkins came back, but you know, it's
it's two games now that Cala Murray's missed. They won one,
(03:18):
they lost one, and if you look at their schedule
and its entirety, they've kind of beat the teams they
should beat, and they've lost the teams that are just
better than them. You know, they lots of lost the
Seattle Ty Seattle is better football team than there right now. Uh,
Philly lost to them, lost to uh, the Minnesota Vikings.
I mean, they beat the teams they should have been,
(03:38):
lost to Cance City Open year, but they've lost to
the teams that I just think are better than they are.
Like I wouldn't have picked those teams over them straight up.
And and they did have to go the first six
weeks without DeAndre Hopkins, which they were too and four
in that stretch we talked about, like, I don't think
they're that far off from where they were. So now
they're two and three or as soon as you excuse me, um, yeah,
(04:00):
two and three in that stretch afterwards, and they haven't
had their quarterback for two of those games. I mean,
the Cardinals are kind of about where I guess you
think they would be when you take an account their schedule,
no Hopkins, no Murray, and and you know where this
team's at. That's just that's just kind of where they're
at right now. And so it's hard to come away
like saying, I, oh, you need to blow this whole
(04:21):
thing up. I mean, I just I would love to
see what this team would have looked like with Hopkins
for the entirety of the season and not obviously just
for the past five games. I mean, thank you, thank
God for the Rams. Otherwise all the attention will we
go into Arizona and their problems because the Rams are awful.
The Rams are the worst team in that division, I think.
(04:42):
And then that, yeah, and it just because they beat
that that one win that they got without Kyler Murray
is the Rams. That's that's the win. But it doesn't
it feel like like nobody wants to just come out
and say it, but well, no, not even if we
I think we know that, but I think very top heavy.
It feels like nobody wants to say that maybe the
(05:05):
Cliff Kyler thing, there's something wrong there, there's something off,
and I know Kyler Murray has been injured. But but
you hear like, you know, even pregame, you've got you know,
Larry Fitzgerald talking about man, they really love, you know,
Colt McCoy and they love his leadership and and what
he's brought to that locker room and all this stuff,
and that that's a guy that you would assume would
(05:26):
know a thing or two about what's going on in
that locker room while he's played, and it just feels
like they're there. It just it feels like they're trying
to say everything, but we don't like, we don't like, yeah,
like there's something going on. And I don't know, I
don't know if if there's anything to it or if
it's just frustration because now he's a little banged up
and the season is not going the way that it's going.
(05:47):
But it just feels like you've seen the stuff on
the sidelines. He's had interactions with DeAndre Hopkins, You've seen
the outbursts with Cliff Kingsbury. I just wonder is there
a problem or some sort of an issue in the
locker room with Well, yeah, you would hope that they
knew what was going on with him in the locker
(06:07):
room before they paid him that extension. That's what I
would think. That's the first thing that I would would
wonder is are you really paying him the type of
money where he's you know, it's hard to get rid
of him when you don't feel as though he's what
he needs to be to the team. And it's kind
of been a mess since the contract, right the whole
(06:27):
call of duty clause and all that stuff. I mean,
they're they're kind of trying to say it in the
contract as well that we we don't know that we
fully trust Kyler Murray. So I don't know. It kind
of hits me like one of those guys that you know,
he's successful in life, enduring his success. He could say
anything at the dinner table and everybody laughs uncontrollably. But
when you're not successful and then now you're talking about
(06:50):
what we gotta lay people off and this, that and
the other because business is slow, then you start looking
at him and it's like you were never funny, you
you son a bit like That's what that's why I
feel like going on right now? You've never been a
come on, bro, We've all been out of table with
somebody that says anything and everybody last, because everybody wants
to be a part of the guys that's that's Dan
(07:12):
Snyder trauma, right. And it's kind of funny because they're
all the same, They're all the same hype. And now
now you see every every deficiency, you see everything that's
connected to him. How short they are, how how not
funny they are, all this, and I feel like that's
what's going on in Arizona right now. So so to
(07:33):
that point that I will say this just from from
calling games, being around Cliff, just from you know, being
around Colin Murray for the year he was in Oklahoma.
One of the things you'll notice is like Kyler was
more of a leader by example. He wasn't the most
vocal guy, and Cliff as a head coach is the
type that wasn't the most vocal. Like that dude love
(07:54):
just breaking down film, you know, and kind of being
away from some of the other stuff that's required maybe
of a head coach. And maybe it's why he's you know,
he was thought to be a better fit in the NFL.
And it becomes more difficult when you have issues like
this if you can't have someone stand up, be a
strong voice. And I think if if both, that's not
really the nature of their personality. I'm not saying that
(08:14):
you have to have that sort of personality where you
stand up and speak and all that. At some point
you're gonna have to though, we're gonna be called upon.
And if those two aren't, you better have some good
leadership on other positions, whether it's on the old line,
d line, um, you know, DeAndre Hopkins someone, right. I
think Larry Fitzgerald to some degree to early on he
was not there this year, right, you know you kind
(08:36):
of look at his leadership or like he was probably
that voice of reason, like he was probably the most
well respected guy above Kyler, above Cliff during the past
few years when when those you know, all three were there,
it was probably Larry Fitzgerald. And now you don't have
that anymore. That's that's by the way. I don't I
don't recall a Hall of Famer, like first ballot Hall
(08:56):
of Famer, Well, I don't. I don't think it's even
debatable just coming out and saying stuff like this, No,
not even that. I was just gonna talk about the
way he kind of retired, like he just kind of
he just like I'll come back maybe I won't. It
was like the quietest just good. Yeah, but that's crazy.
But that's but Larry Fitzgerald has been different from day one.
(09:18):
Like he's different. He's different. Yeah, he's different and and
and and I say that in the most remarkable way.
He's different. He's different about it and one of the
most remarkable ways different, Like he's just a different dude. Well,
because they wanted him to play linebacker at Penn State?
What really? Yes, that's that's a true story. Did and
(09:40):
did he come from a military academy first? I don't remember.
I don't remember, but I used to know the story
real well because he was a big fan of me
and and a lot of people didn't know that, you know,
me and him had like a connection. He ended up
playing college ball with one of my kids. Um that
I was really close with, you know kid asn't like
(10:01):
I grew up with him with Rob Rutherfort. But um, yeah, Larry,
I got to know Larry and and he's just he's
just a unique, unique dude man, Like he's as unique
as he gets. He's he's like a renaissance dude. Um,
you can't say enough good things about the guy. Man
spend a year of Valley Forge Military Academy, Pennsylvania. Yeah,
(10:21):
there you go. So did you uh like, if you
would have gone to Penn State, could he have been
a part of Stick City? I mean, would you have
let him wear He wore eleven and I mean, yeah, exactly,
there's there's a story behind it. But you know he
wore one in college. I mean, if you're on the
offense side of the ball, it's just different. Means, it's
(10:42):
just different. Sorry, So that's where it is. There's no
there are no there you know, I can't if I
can't adjust that for anyone. You know, you're gonna get mcgloy.
You put that jersey on if you're on the offense,
and you know, it is what it is. I just
don't want anybody to come out saying Stick City that's
on on this you know, offensive side of the ball
would be very disrespectful, you know. But but you know,
(11:05):
but recently that yeah, I mean I feel like I should.
But you know, as a as of late, stick City
is Michael Parsons, you know what I mean, eleven is
Michael Parsons. Which that's the beauty of it is is
that it doesn't matter who like for a time it
was Navarro Bowman, you know, sticks was Navarro and and
(11:25):
it's just a beautiful thing. But right now when people
relate eleven and Penn statements like Michael Parsons, which, by
the way, Michael Parsons is a goon. And and while
we're on the topic of the forty nine ers, the
reason why the forty niners and Jimmy Garoppolo and Kittle
and and I you can and Samuel and and everybody
(11:47):
from McCaffrey, everybody in the backfield, they all had an
opportunity to have success because of the way their offensive
line played last night, and and led by Trent Williams.
Trent Williams is when healthy, there's none better. When he's healthy,
there are none. There was one play where he blocked
two defenders to to open it up for for the run.
(12:11):
I mean, his athleticism, his physicality, his his understanding of
the game is is amazing. And the rest of that
offensive line played very, very physical and they played very
very well. It was very sound the way they executed
during the course of that game last night. So this
is a scary team, man, It's a scary team because
(12:31):
I think they're the best. You know, I think they're
the best team in the NFC right now. You tell
me another team. The the Eagles are are at their
point of where you'd like to believe. They're not peaking.
But did they hit their ceiling. I don't know if
they've hit their ceiling, but it doesn't they haven't looked
good the last two weeks. And you look at any
other team that's in the NFC right now, what team
(12:54):
are you gonna sit there and say is a dominant
team in the NFC? And then you look at the
way that they Niners played last night? They were a
dominant team. Now I'll say this, the Dallas Cowboys made
a statement. Oh but I don't. I don't. I don't
trust it. You're not buying them. I'm not. I'm still
not buying them. I mean that it made me go
back down the out and look at it on like,
(13:16):
huh is the price right? Should I grab it off?
Should I put it in my my card? Like? Should
I grab them off of the counter or off of
the shelf and put them in my cart. I'm dangerously
close to grabbing it, but I'm still looking at it.
It's still not in my hand. It's still not in
the cart. But that's the only other team that I
could say showed something where you could say, man, they
(13:40):
look pretty like, they look dominant, and it was because
they did it against the Vikings. I thought the Vikings
were on a different trajectory than to get whooped like that.
I think Philly is the other team that I and
I know they barely beat Indie, but you know, looking
at the addition to Sue, the edition of Live Val Joseph,
like one game in they did hold the code Colts
(14:00):
below a hundred yards. Um. I just I wonder how
like those editions help out, Because if you're saying, all right,
Philly san Francisco NFC Championship game, I'd say San Francisco
all day, because I don't think Philli can stop that
rushing attack. But if if the addition that Sue and
Joseph plays out over the course the next few weeks,
where all of a sudden they become a bunch of
(14:20):
run stuffers and there's just nowhere to go, then then
maybe I'm feeling a little different about that matchup. Um,
just because I think the offense and the different matchups
that hurts and those guys can provide too, so it
should be fun. I mean it's gonna be a fun
just fun second half the season. Yeah, it's gonna be.
The NFC playoffs are gonna be pretty interesting to see
who comes out, who gets home field, and how that
(14:41):
whole thing plays out. Brady Quinn and Jonas Knocks on
four Radio. Be sure to catch live editions of Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar
Arrington and Jonas Knocks week days at six a m. E.
S Darn for AM Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and
(15:03):
the I Heart Radio. This is kind of interesting. You
guys have been asking about it. I bet Jesus has
sent a tweet, so apparently we will be getting an
appearance from Li bet Jesus coming up here at some
point in the next several minutes here. So I mean, listen,
I know that people have been asking, is you know
(15:24):
we got a live soccer game going on at the
World Cup. Does that mean we're gonna get to to
start off your day? For many people out there, we
don't get a lot of live sporting events here, but
apparently he is circling somewhere in the skies over the
Fox Sports radio studios ready to hand out a winner.
Apparently is a soccer guy all of a sudden now
or gal I mean, who knows. I mean, I'll tell
(15:45):
you what if a sports spectacle brings Berto out of
the control room in to hear the studio to wrap
with us and talk with us, this is a big deal, man,
like this is this is honestly think it's the first
time he's ever come in here like and and just
talk to us. Yeah. Yeah, normally hangs out or he
(16:08):
just kind of cruises around and uh, you know he's
he's never come scanning direct TV from Michael Douglas movies.
You know that's Danglin Paris today. Yeah, yeah, today today
it's uh, your boy Marlon Brando. There we go, speaking
of weirdos. That guy's a weirdo, Marlon Brando. Look up
some of that guy's history. What a lunatic. He makes
(16:32):
offers you can't refuse. Yeah, on an off the screen.
All right, So we will be hearing uh reportedly from
liebt Jesus coming up here because we do have. It's
a huge upset by the way Argentina and Saudi Arabia
are playing Saudia. This is like This is like app
(16:55):
State in Michigan back in the day, and Saudi Arabia's
gotta lead over Argentina. So we will hear from LBJ
here coming up shortly. By the way, fellas, it's time
to stop treating your groins like junk, introducing the Gillette
Intimate Pubic Hare Trimmer, a gentle and easy shape from
America's number one trusted men's grooming brand. Show your pubic
regents that restrict with Gillette Intimate the best demand can get.
(17:17):
All right, So, we were talking yesterday about the performance
of Zach Wilson on Sunday, and it was not good
seventy seven yards passing. Afterwards, he did not exactly handle
the postgame press conference to the liking reportedly of some
teammates who are rubbed the wrong way by the idea
that he didn't take accountability or it didn't feel like
he let the defense down. And so Robert Sale his
(17:39):
head coach, he had to make some decisions and have
some conversations with the media yesterday about whether or not
he is still committed to Zach Wilson as his quarterback
and whether or not Zach Wilson upon having that postgame
press conference sort of irritated and rubbed those teammates the
wrong way, according to reports, Like we said, here was
the Jets head coach explain at all, I'm going to
(18:01):
get to the tape and just evaluate everything, and uh,
I'll leave it at that. We're keeping everything on the
table over the next couple of days. So you're not
committing to Zach as your starter for Sunday, not right now,
and tell them evaluating everything. We all got to be
able to sit back and just look at what's best
for this organization and this team. Do you worry about
him losing the faith and belief of the locker room? No,
(18:21):
you know, those guys are in the locker room. They
talk to each other all the time. You know, it's
probably more of a question for the locker room. But
I don't think so. I think these guys understand that.
I think I think players have empathy for one another.
They know how hard this job is. They know they
understand it all. Can he be a little bit better
in front of the in front of you guys, and
when he's up here on the podium, and in terms
of the expectation that when you are standing in front
of the podium. It's it's our job to take bullets
(18:43):
and and own it, especially when it's tend to own it. Yeah,
of course he can, but I don't. I don't think
it's indicative of how he feels about his team or teammates.
And I don't think he is naive to the fact that,
you know, offense wasn't played to the best of their
ability while the defense is out there Paul that I
don't think that's what he was trying to convey. I
really don't. But but yeah, obviously you can be a
(19:04):
little bit better. This is a mistake, No, a big
serious this is a mistake that this is what Robert
Sala is doing because Zack Wilson rubbed some players wrong
in the locker room with his postgame comments saying that
it wasn't on him or he's not the problem, however
you want to, you know, phrase it. Because of that,
(19:25):
Robert Sala has now gone the coaching angle of it
where he says, well, I'm gonna make it, I'm gonna
say it publicly that you know, we're we're we're looking
at everything, you know, even even potentially Zack starting, and
so that's gonna appease some of the players. And I'm sure,
as it's been reported by Connor Hughes and a few others,
(19:46):
that they talked about in a team meeting about this
exact subject that he touched on about Zach Wilson need
to go up there and taking some of the bullets
and being accountable for his play. Here's here's where I
say it's a mistake. You can't make the kid do it.
You can't. You can't make him become something he's not
if he doesn't have the confidence in himself and the
(20:09):
ability to understand what leadership is when you have to
be responsible and accountable and when things aren't going well,
which is probably one of the toughest traits to have.
He he doesn't get it and he's never will get it.
And so that's why I feel like you are you
are prolonging this whole thing in whatever decision you're gonna
(20:30):
end up making with Zach Wilson, which I have an
idea of where this is all leading, because they need
to because here's what they need to do. He needs
to play the rest of the season because they have
to see what they have in him. Now, could that
potentially harm the rest of their season how it goes. Sure,
you know Flacco has got more touchdown passed in three
starts than Zach Wilson as the entire season. Think about that.
(20:52):
But if they make a change, you're never going to
know what you have in him unless you let him
play more, unless you've already thrown in the town on him,
which I don't think this organization has done that. There's
too many people in the media who are friends with
Joe Douglas. I'm not gonna name names that are out
there every week actively campaigning for this staff, for the
(21:15):
front office, for the team, and for Zach Wilson specifically,
because they know Joe Douglas knows, the front office knows
Salo knows the media who's they're all friendly together. No,
that regardless of how well Joe Douglas has constructed this roster,
it's always gonna be about the decision to take Zach Wilson.
And so I look, I think he'll start this week.
(21:36):
If he doesn't, I think that's even a bigger mistake.
But if they lose to the Bears and it fields
plays which, by the way, dislocated his left shoulder, we
don't know that we're gonna get him this week. But
if he does and it fields outplays Wilson, it's gonna
be very damning on the decision to take Zach Wilson
number two. Overall, Salo wasn't the coach that took him though,
(21:57):
wasn't he was brought in after correct, Joe Douglas is
when that took him, right was there when he was there.
Here's what I say. I like what he did, and
and I like what he did because he did place
the onus of just just just step up in those moments,
(22:19):
like do a little better in front of these guys
so that you're not putting yourself in harm's way with
your teammates. I also like the fact that I'm not
going to speak for the players in the locker room.
If you have a question about what's what's going on
between them, that's a question for the locker room. And
I would hope behind the scenes he's letting them know
(22:41):
in those same meetings, in the team meetings that you
guys need to handle yourselves appropriately as it applies to
the questions that are being asked about you and your
teammates and this team. Our affairs should be limited in
terms of exposure to the media, especially in New York,
as it a applies to what I'm going to do
(23:02):
with Zack Wilson if he's not sure, which it sounds
like he's leaning towards the fact that, uh, this is
this is my assumption. I don't think he believes in them.
I don't think he believes in Zach Wilson. And I
don't know that he believes that Zack Wilson is the
answer for this team. So I'm gonna let the film
(23:24):
do the talking for me. Which we know that that
film is gonna look trash when he looks at it,
especially at the end of that game. So if you
know the film is gonna look like trash, the media
already knows it, the teammates already know it, then what
are the conversations going to turn into as we move forward?
And And to me, I almost felt like that was
(23:46):
a that was a press conference of sound bites. That
one made me feel like Robert Sala does get it,
and he he is candid in his approach to address
not not if he doesn't go in a different direction,
I don't know that. I didn't take it that way.
I took it. I took it as if if for
(24:07):
what it's worth, I don't feel like he's giving us
the best opportunity. I'm going to play it by air.
I'm gonna take it. I'm gonna take it as we
get it. If he shows that I can't keep him
in there, it's going to be because of how he's playing,
not because of anything else. You know what it sounded like,
you guys ever have a friend who was in a
relationship with somebody who was just a pain in the
ass and everybody knew they were a pain in the
(24:29):
ass and the up No, but but every time you
every time you talk to them, guy or girl, they
would always make excuses for the person they were dating. Well, listen,
you just don't understand them. Trust me. I know I
came across, but it wasn't like this is now, like
the second or third time in the last couple of weeks,
Robert Salis had to step up and make excuses and
speak on behalf of Zack Wilson. Why is he having
(24:51):
to Was that an excuse? Did he make an excuse?
Why why is he having to do that? Why is
he having to speak on on his behalf and say, well, listen,
this is what a man, trust me, it's not really
like that. It's like, this is what he did. Yes,
I don't feel like I don't feel like he justified.
How did he justify? He would saying, well, listen, I
don't believe that Zack. Could he be a little bit
(25:12):
better here, of course, but I don't think that's really
what he felt about his teammates, or that he felt
like he was doing that for the defense when they
were bawling out like that. I don't believe that that's good.
And also it's Monday afternoon. He hasn't watched the tape yet.
I find that hard to believe watched the tape, yea.
I mean like and by the way, you know who
(25:33):
else has watched the tape, every other swinging person on
Twitter that's now breaking down cut ups. I mean, he
missed Denzel Mims on a wide open post over the
middle of the field, and there's people who have like
broken this down from the multiple angles from like from
behind the quarterback perspective. He looks like he's looking at him.
(25:53):
Why is it he throwing to him? Denzel Mims just
wide open for a touchdown, and instead he ends up
working to his progressions scram going around. I think he
ran on that play for about a six yard game.
But it's just I mean, now you've gotten like everyone
fascinated by how badly he's playing and he's missing throws
on all this. But again, look, I've been saying this
for a while now, like I never really understood the
(26:16):
intrigue in him outside of a good staff box his
last year playing at b y U and the fact
that in T shirt and shorts he could make off
platform throws, side and throws and all that there was
nothing else through. I kind of came away and go,
there's something to this kid in particular compared to Trevor
Lawrence justin fields and maybe feels in a different draft class,
I would have felt different about him, but he was
(26:38):
you know, even Mac Jones for that matter, and watching
Mac Jones and how his games translates to the NFL,
all three of those guys in particular, you kind of said,
all right, like I could I see all this? I
never saw it really with him. And I think you
put Joe Flacco back in, or you put another quarterback
with that talent, with the way that defense is playing,
and this is a team that can climb back in
the playoff race. But I'm not so that's the case.
(27:00):
If if the zach Will start doesn't start taking major
strides as a quarter, it's two pros and a cup
of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady
Quinn Jonas knocks to the air. Coming up, we are
gonna have another edition of in case you missed it.
It is yours here and about. We'll call it ten
minutes from now from the entire rack dot com studios.
And uh okay, all right, here we go. All right, Brady,
(27:23):
you're asking, you would asking all week about it? All right?
So the lights have gone completely out in the studio here.
What what the hell is happening? For some reason, only
one television screen is on. And now there is a
cloud formation. No it's not Michael Douglas, but there is
an odd formation of cloud to book the studio. And
(27:45):
now just there's a piece of paper falling down onto
the desk here. Those of you that have ever heard this,
for trust is, this is not a radio bit. This
is not some gag we're trying to do to get
people involved in sports betting. So here's the proof. A
piece of paper LeVar just saw at all down onto
the desk here, oh the thunder light. Okay, and here
(28:15):
it goes. It is this morning, on the November two
that I live that Jesus proclaimed the picked to be
over three and a half goals between Argentina and Saudi Arabia.
So over three and a half goals and they're sitting
at three goals right now. I mean, Brady, you're the
(28:36):
gambling savan here. That feels like a winner to me.
And now the lights are back on and just won
seventy that that sounds like pretty terrible odds, don't like
I mean hours, It looks like minute. I mean clear
like got to be like an hour and a half
left in this game. I mean, I think that's how
this works in soccer. So yeah, this is all a
(28:59):
terrible for the value terrible bet. All right, well listen,
I didn't make the benefits. Where'd you go? Where'd you go? Live?
Bet Jesus to a ratting? Would you be sure to
catch live editions of Two Pros and a Cup of
Joe with Brady, Quinn, LaVar, Arrington and Jonas Knocks week
days at six am Eastern, three am Pacific. He's my Carmen.
(29:23):

of what's coming up in the fantasy football world. That's right, Dan.

(29:44):
the pickups to turbo boost your fantasy lineup, sits, starts,
fantasy football players rankings to get you ready to dominate
the competition. Listen to I Want Your Flex with Mike
Carmen and me Dan Buyer on the I Heart Radio app,
Apple Podcast and wherever you get your podcast tests. Right now,
let's turn it over to Albert Breer, senior NFL reporter
at the mm QB. You can get him on Twitter
(30:06):
at Albert Brier. He is a Thursday staple on this show,
but it's a holiday week, so we push things forward. Albert,
what the hell is going on? How are we feeling?
I wanted to ask you the question. I actually I
was the first I heard that huge up set in
the World Cup. Right? How do uh? I mean? You
guys are experts on this. How do point spreads work
because isn't every game decided by a goal? Yeah, there's
(30:29):
like half goals um in some cases there's a one
and a half goal spread. And then you also have
to be specific about it. Either has to happen in
full time or you can you can bet on extra time.
It's very, uh, very fishy how some of this soccer
stuff works okay, because I would think, I mean I
thought like I was like, okay, everything a money line then,
(30:51):
but yeah, I don't know, I should be different. There's
options for everything. Yeah, I mean, Jonas is good at
this stuff though he just actually lost a bet that
he weighs you with live bet Jesus. I mean, I
know how it works. I just don't have to win
a big difference there. Albert, Albert, what the hell is
happening with Justin Fields? There was a report that he
had a dislocated shoulder, and then it came out last night.
(31:14):
A couple other people are saying that that's not true.
It's not a dislocated shoulder. Have you heard anything? And
what is his status for this weekend? You know, certainly
he was in a lot of pain at the end
of the game. Um, and you know, I think it's
it sounds to me he's like they're looking at these
things as I mean, it's more of like a more
(31:38):
like on Sunday was seeing as it's a pain tolerance
thing and they still have to put him through more test.
So I honestly like at this point, I think it's
like mad even flu said it's it's it's a weird
thing because it feels like it's like the paint tolerance parts.
Day to day. As they go through the week, we'll
see where they we'll see where it is. And I
know there was one report out there that it was,
(32:00):
um it was season ending, and I'm not sure that
that that's like on the table right now. Um. It
feels like they'll know more later in the week. And god,
I just I'm sorry at text mesters came on and
I just fell all over myself. Who's it from? You
want to want to break any news? Who's it from? Here?
What do we go? Can we can we start over again?
I mean that would be good, I think, But I
(32:21):
think I think but right now, for right now, at
the pain tolerance thing, they're gonna see where it is
at the end of the week, I was gonna say,
because there's just to be another opportunity for the New
York Jets to face a backup quarterback. I think I
think it's five. That'd be five of the eleven games
they've played they face backups. If that happens this week,
that's an insane number. Brady, And you know, I think
(32:43):
that that's sort of I'd say that that's inflated expectations
a little bit for the Jets, you know, And it
kind of it puts their young quarterback in a in
a in a very very different spot, I think, which
is part of the whole story coming out of there
this week. Oh oh, I'm I'm wondering what what are
the storylines connected to Aaron Rodgers Matt Lafleur in Green Bay.
(33:09):
I mean there has to be some discussion taking place.
I mean, are there whispers of possibly seeing what you
have in Jordan's love if things don't improve. I don't
think they're at that point yet, you know. Um, I
think a big part of this of our is kind
of coping with the loss of of of Davante Adams,
(33:30):
which I think is taking a little bit longer than
they thought it would and kind of what they were um,
you know earlier in Matt Lafleur's time there, which I
mean Matt Lafleur compliment, compromised a lot and making things
work for Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers isn't like a lot
of motion and movement um in an offense. And that's
really sort of where la Fleur came from. And that's
(33:54):
fine when you have Davante Adams out there, you know,
because Davante Adams could beat me in coverage and he
changes the dynamic for everybody else out there. You take
Adams out of the equation, and now it becomes a
little bit more difficult to get guys open. And so
you know, I think some of the compromise that Matt
Lafleur made at the beginning of that relationship was easier
to manage because of Adam's presence. And now their hope
(34:16):
has been that Christian Watson and Romeo Dobbs would develop
into those guys over time. I think you're starting to
see it with Watson. Dobbs hit the hit the roadblock
with his with his injury, and now it feels a
little bit like you're running out of time. So uh,
you know, I'm with you. I think at some point
they could get to the point where they want to
(34:37):
see what they've got in Jordan's love. But as of
right now, I still think you do everything that you
can to try to just get into the NFC playoffs,
because I think the NFC playoffs are gonna be wide open,
and if you have Aaron Rodgers and you're there, you've
got a shot. Um. I think they would have to
get to like, I don't know, nine ten losses, and
(34:58):
they're almost there, right, But if they have to get
to like nine ten losses, um to to consider throwing
while been there and seeing what they get him on
Twitter at Albert Briers Albert Brier, senior NFL reporter at
the MMQB joining us here on Fox Sports Radio. What
about in Arizona? Have there been any rumblings or have
you heard anything regarding Cliff Kingsbury's future there with them
(35:19):
putting the other a disappointing season. I know Kyler Murray
has been injured, but it feels like something's a little off. Yeah,
A lot of people have been kind of snipping around
that one for a couple for a few months now,
and whether or not the Cliff Kingsbury, Steve Time could
be in trouble. And I think coming out of last
year that was the whole idea. You know, the thought
was all right, you know, you've had three years of progress,
(35:40):
but that was an ugly way to lose in the playoffs.
Things were really weird in that building for the week
after that loss, the rams where nobody was given any assurances,
you know, to three days out, you know, after the
season ended, and then things settled down a little bit,
and then they give those guys a long term extensions
a month later, which was I think caught everybody off guard. Um,
(36:02):
and so you know, this thing keeps going in the
wrong direction. I think the question really becomes whether or
not an ownership group that traditionally haven't been very free spending,
let's just put it that way, is willing to eat
five years on Cliff Kingsbury's contract because his contract front
Throe and five years on Steve Kimes contract. That to
(36:25):
me is the real question here, because it does feel
like a lot of the things that we saw at
the end of last year, the collapse, the ugly lost
in the playoffs, has spilled into this year a little bit.
And if it weren't for those contract extensions, would be
talking about their job security. Yeah, I don't disagree with that.
We were talking about that a little bit ago. I
(36:46):
think the interesting thing is at four and seven, you know,
you look at the Cardinals record, and you look at
their schedule and the fact that Hopkins is out the
first six weeks, You're like, it's kind of about where
we fought they might be. I mean, hasn't been an
easy schedule. I want to see you about the Broncos
and Nathaniel hack and who gave up play calling duties
to Clint Kubiak this past week still didn't work loss
(37:06):
and overtime to the Raiders that it seems like it's
that's scaring towards the one and done there in Denver.
I think it's possible, Brady. I mean I maybe a
month ago I would have said, let's give it some
more time. I just feel like this is like and
I think na Daniel has fantastic coach, and you just
sort of wonder about the fit with Russell Wilson and
(37:30):
this like when you when you see that when you
say that, like, are you just basing that on a
relationship with them or what Aaron Rodgers says about his
wationship with him because as a play caller and a
head coach, obviously has no experience as head coach. As
a play caller, he hasn't had any success, So what
do you base that on? I based it on. I mean,
(37:50):
I think part of this so, like I think there
was always gonna be this like process that we were
gonna go through with Russell Wilson when he got to
new team, where he was gonna get something. Whenever he
got traded, he was gonna get something that he didn't
get in Seattle, Right, because that was always going to
be part of the trade. It was gonna be. I
(38:10):
want to see what it looks like when we're running
this sort of scheme I've always wanted to run, so
I want to have control. I want to be running
the sort of offense that I saw Tom Brady and
Peyton Manning run. I wanted to play the quarterback position
in a more traditional way, and I wanna play in
a way that's gonna preserve my body so I can
play another ten years. That was never the way they
(38:33):
played him in Seattle Right for the most part, And
like I would say, Seattle felt like all along, playing
him that way would never work because that's not the
sort of quarterback he is. So I think like at
the beginning, whenever he got traded to wherever you got traded,
there was going to be a period where that that
was gonna be experimented with and it was either gonna
(38:54):
work and it wasn't and if it didn't work, it
was gonna get really awkward. And I think that that's
the point where Rapp Brady, like, where what Russell wanted
hasn't worked, and now I think somebody's got to convince
him that you gotta go back to doing some of
the stuff that works for ten years in Seattle. And
I don't know that Nathaniel Hackett is going to be
that guy, because I just don't know that he's got
(39:16):
the juice to be able to say this doesn't work,
we cannot do this. And so, like, I think that's
why it's sort of an awkward situation for a first
time head coach to be in. If this was like
someone like Sean Payton, we'll be talking about a different
dynamic altogether, but it's not. And so I sort of
think that I think that that's where Hacketts sort of
(39:39):
stuff between a rock and a hard place here, and
it does feel like they're moving the deck chairs on
the Titanic a little bit. And it will be interesting
to see what that ownership group does because that ownership
group didn't hire George Peyton, they didn't trade for Russell Wilson,
they didn't hire Nathaniel Hackett. They have all the money
(39:59):
in the world. So those if anybody can eat contracts,
the Walton family can eat contracts, you know. And I
just look at like the logistics of it, and it's
gonna be a lot more I'd say, a lot more
manageable to detach yourself from a coaching contract that it
is to be able to attach yourself from a quarterback contract.
Let's let's go to another coach with no experience but
(40:22):
seems to be having success. What what is the continued
feedback or developments surrounding you know, Jeff Saturday and er
Say and and Indie Well, I think he's been I mean,
the first two weeks have been competitive, you know. I
think if you were looking for a train wreck LaVar,
we haven't gotten that, you know, I mean, even like
(40:43):
last week that's an undefeated Eagles. Yeah, an eighty one
Eagles team that's just coming off of its first law,
every motivation to come into that game and blow Doors off.
And you know, if that was a seventeen sixteen game.
You know, so the its been very competitive through two
weeks one and one and so um. You know, I
(41:05):
think if if Jim Ursy right now is searching for
reasons to keep Jeff Saturday as his head coach and
maybe hire some more people around him, maybe even bring
some people back from that era of Colts, if this
is like he's looking for affirmation, I think he's sort
of getting it, you know, because this is something Jeff
Saturday is doing this in the fly, never having coached
(41:25):
in the NFL before, So I would say, on balance,
if you're being fair about this, Jeff Saturday is acquitting
himself pretty well. And to me, guys, I mean, I'd
be interested to hear your perspective on this as former players,
because I wonder if this changes the dynamic to some degree.
You know, we all have at Dion Sanders a few
years ago when he wanted afford the State job. Then
(41:46):
he went to Jackson State and kicked ass, you know,
and now he could get a Power five job. This
works with Jeff Saturday. Do we start to look at
more like you know, works in baseball or basketball where
former players can come in and do this. There's always
been a perception that wouldn't work in football. I mean
maybe if you hired the right guy around a foreign
player can work. I would Yeah, I would agree with that.
(42:08):
Albert Brier get him on Twitter at Albert Brier. So, Albert,
I was thinking about this and I don't know, just
like just kind of throwing some stuff out there. And
I was thinking, you know, like if you were watching, say,
I don't know Michigan Ohio State this Saturday on Fox
after watching the award winning pregame show Big neon Kickoff
(42:30):
this week, right, I mean I would have how long
we know? Only the award I just made up. That's
all right, listen, you deserve an award. Point being do
you feel like Ohio State at the end of that
game is going to have won by more than seven
and a half points. What's your gut telling you right now?
I want to say anything, but yeah, I do. Okay,
(42:53):
I mean, how what what is your confidence level heading
into this game? Seeing that Michigan struggled against Illinois at
home the way that they did Ohio state starter against Maryland.
So I mean, I don't know, I feel pretty good.
I'll say that I feel pretty good. I uh, I'm
gonna be checking the weather. They're like, I'm freaking out
roker over the next five days. But I feel pretty
(43:14):
good about it, all right, So there it is. I mean,
should he feel good about that seven and a half
point spread there, Brady Quinn? I would have handicapped in
it at night and a half if it was me,
So yes, I should feel good about it. Albert feels
like a good one, all right. There it is? All right?
Oh h yeah, you know it. And and I'll be there, Brady.
(43:36):
I'll see you there, all right, I'll look for you, buddy.
All right, there is a right Albert. Happy Thanksgiving to
you and the family. We always appreciate it, always a
good time. And we'll do it again next week. All right,
Happy Thanksgiving. We're going to roast buck eyes on on Saturday.
How about that? That's what we're going to do in
my house on a Nitney line house. We're going to
(43:58):
roast those buck eyes. Yeah, in the fireplace. I don't
think you should eat? Did say we were going to
I said, we say we were gonna eat them. I
just say we're gonna roast them. I don't want to
eat them. There's some toxic fumes off that. That's all right.
I'm a roast him. Yeah, yeah, order them roast him.
Paint Brutus was his name, Bruticus, Brutus on his Brutus
(44:22):
his face on there exactly. Columbus is not far from
where I grew up in Dublin. Okay, I don't know
if you knew that or not. Fox Sports Radio has
